  1. I don't how many off the top of the head Here is as many as I can remember Francis Howell " " North " " Central Wentzville Orchard Farm Fort Zumwalt, 3 or 4 of those schools with directional names St Charles St Charles West Union??? LHS-St Charles St. Dominic Duchesne There are probably more
  2. http://prepsports.stltoday.com/ssi/prep/st...ing+for+a+match SLU was mentioned in this article don't knwo if anyone saw it or not. --------------------- Rumors also might have complicated matters. The local grapevine has Kalicak headed to St. Louis University as a non-scholarship walk-on. Not true, said Kalicak, whose father simply called SLU to see if the Billikens were interested. They weren't, just as SLU wasn't interested last year in Blake Ahearn, the DeSmet shooting guard who signed with Southwest Missouri State and is one of the top marksmen in the Missouri Valley Conference and the nation for 3-pointers and free throws. "When SLU signed Reggie Bryant last year, they no longer needed Blake," Steiner said. "SLU got crucified for that, which I think was really unfair. With college coaches, guys lose their jobs if they don't recruit the players they need. With Mike, maybe everybody's got a small forward or shooting guard already. Who knows?" ---------------- To clarify Tom Wheatley wrote this article, not our esteemed fellow poster and scribe Nate Latsch.
  3. That is the case with most schools. I went to JUCO my first two years of college and got Ds but gained a degree. Several colleges including SLU accepted my degree and my standing that I was a junior but would not accept the couple classes I got a D in. I had to take those over to recieve credit in my major.
  4. I heard Frank discussing it with Floyd Irons. Can't hurt to talk about it. It adds to the thinking that Mizzou is a disjointed program, which is good, and it shows Jimmy that if indeed he wanted to transfer there would be support from SLU fans and area basketball fans in general.
  5. I didn't watch yesterdays game but it has been my experience that Jimmy is a pretty good defender. Most of the time he is the only tiger who will defend. I don't begrudge kids who transfer. While a committment was made they still are just kids. If a situation isn't working out or they are not ahppy it is their perrogative to choose to go to a different school or quit altogether.
  6. JJ is fine. He has to take those shots. When he came in no one was scoring. JJ was wide open, no one was guarding him at all. Basically Charlotte was saying we can play SLU 5 on 4 and no team can win that way.
  7. Although the FreeMasons are a defunct group essentially as it pertains world domination. The Rothschilds took over their organization before they brought down czarist Russia. These Wal-Mart guys have alot of money but that pales in comparison to people that poster alludes to. No one in the Wal-Mart family has been invited to join the Tri-Lateral Commission, Bilderbergers Society, or Skull and Bones. Wal-Mart is just a part of the system working within it, not in control of it.
  8. It doesn't. There should have been some note of sarcasm there on my part. sorry.
  9. Richmond has the best chance to get the third bid in the A-10. Their RPI is in the mid 40s. Xavier's is well into the 50s and GWs is in the 70s. Both those teams will ahve markedly improve their resumes if they are to get an at large bid.
  10. West Virginia 67 Villanova 60 Detroit 54 Butler 48 Virginia 82 #15 Georgia Tech 80 #23 SIU 59 SMS 58 Ahearn 12 points on 4-13 FG%, 2-7 3FG%, 2-4 FROM FREE THROW LINE. MD Eastern Shore 65 NC A&T 58 This will boost our RPI. #18 Texas Tech 82 Kansas St 71 Eastern Kentucky 82 Jacksonville St 75 Tulane 67 TCU 66 Drake 78 Creighton 73 2OT Does this guarantee no at large bid for Creighton? Wisc Green Bay 80 Loyola IL 73 Brandon Morris off day shooting, 2-9 FG%, 0-5 3PT, 7 points, 3 steals, 1 TO, 4 assists, 6 rebounds UAB 72 E. Carolina 69 DePaul 66 Houston 54 Memphis 89 Marquette 71 Roanoke Dazzle 116 Huntsville Flight 111 Marque had his hands full tonight having to guard Erick Barklay and Mateen Cleaves. Marque scored 15 points, 6-12 from the field, 4 boards, 9 dimes, 2 steals and 2 TOs while leading his team in minutes with 42.
  11. Ian and Izik do have a special rapport on the court. I believe Izik has taken Ian under his wing off the court as well helping a foreign player get used to the US. Ian is still remarkably out of shape. Hopefully a summer of weight training and cutting down on the McDonald's will have him in better shape next year. Ian just slightly stronger and quicker would be dominant in the post.
  12. I am not sure if the ceremony they had could have been more stupid or boring. The diamond ring contest was a nice idea but as usual at SLU no one comes through in the end. I was thoroughly underwhelmed by the entire process.
  13. For awhile in the second half neither of the teams could've projected out to scoring 40 points. An extremely low scoring game even for the Billikens.
  14. An article was in the post the other day saying that Evans was gertting back to full strength. Kalicak can handle the ball some but is too slow to be a wing. He can be a good spot up shooter but has no inside game whatsoever. I would hope there are better options than him.
  15. CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Charlotte guard Demon Brown, the team's second-leading scorer, was suspended indefinitely Thursday following an incident last week. The Charlotte Observer reported Monday that Brown, a senior, was arrested and charged with two counts of communicating threats. He allegedly brandished a gun and threatened two women on February 4. Brown missed Saturday's game at East Carolina and was on the bench in street clothes during Thursday's game with ninth-ranked Louisville. The 23-year-old is averaging 12.6 points and 4.5 assists. ----------------- I assume he will not be playing on saturday. This is good news for the Bills.
  16. Depaul has dominated the boards and has picked up on defense in the second half. Depaul has more ofensive boards than the Billikens do overall.
  17. Depaul is making a strong comeback. We were up by 21 but they went on a 10-1 run to end the half. So far DePaul is pushing it into their bigs on offense in the second half. Good news for Bills, Drejaj is out of his slump he has hit a couple big 3s for us.
  18. Even at the college level I don't see Lee as an elite PF. Wouldn't you take Turiaf, Okafor and Gomes before him? Donovan also has a poor track record of preparing guys for the NBA. With all the talent he had there no one has really performed in the league.
  19. That is tough for Larry. At least it is his off hand and he will be able to shoot while he is rehabbing. If the Wizards hadn't had so many injuries they could be competing for a playoff spot. Even now they have a horrible record but are only a few games out. Marque Perry Sunday night had a season high 13 assists with only 2 TOs. He is averaging 14 ppg, 6 apg, and 4 TOs per game. His TO numbers have to come down. Though he does play 40 minutes every game.
  20. Isn't David Lee a senior? I am almost positive he is. His chances in the NBA IMO, slim and none. He is a good college player, certainly not great and never came anywhere close to the hype he recieved coming out of HS where he was ranked in the top 5 in his class. He is a tweener. No position, too small and lacks skill sets to be a PF, too slow to guard anyone on the perimeter and has few if any ballhandling skills and his outside shot is non existent. Mark Madsen and Luke Walton barely have hung on in the league and Lee is not as good as them while being a similar player.
  21. Unfortunately conservative thought is seeping into the college landscape. Most philosophy depts nationwide are now decidely right wing.
  22. Great article thanks for posting it. He makes some good points. While I think margin of victory should be included I still think home and road aspect is more important. As his chart showed these teams especially in the SEC that schedule all home games in their non con have a distinct advantage over teams who play tough games on the road. We all have seen these conferences with bloated numbers get trounced in the NCAAs because they inflated their RPI with all the home games. Something needs to be added to offset this.
  23. Carl Turner?????? I wil give you Claggs, Highmark, and H but you cannot put Turner in that group. Turner on this team would be behind Clarke in the rotation.
