  1. Thats not a bad idea at all.
  2. Bills win by 7. Ahearn scores 9. Tommie goes for 17-Ian 13-Danny 10. Kevin only shoots 4 times and scores 5 but shuts down Blake.
  3. The refs last year were ACC refs. I'm willing to bet they'll be ACC refs again. Hope I'm wrong. If it's a close game and there is a close crucial call you know which way an ACC ref will go.
  4. I wonder if our E-Mails had any influence.
  5. I don't know why I'm even bothering because we've beaten this dead horse so many times. Our coverage by the post has always been bad but this year has been terrible. Since Friday there has been 4 Missouri stories and one Billiken article. The Post editors feel we are irrelevant. Tommie Timm.seems like a nice guy who gets pushed to the background. Unfortunately the only way their perception is going to change is to WIN,and to WIN big. Thank God there is a good food writer or I would cancel my subscription.
  6. So why won't Missouri play anybody on the road. Hey I know I'm beating a dead point and I know Anderson needed to dumb down your schedule but playing the 9 home games you've played is too much. Is Missouri any good? Who Knows?? If you guys go up and beat Purdue maybe? I really don't think Andersons schedule is helpfull to his team in the long run. Time will tell.
  7. I think we would be willing to schedule any big 12 team home and home. Oh I forgot big 12 teams don't play on the road.
  8. Maybe, but in the A-10 you have to play some games on the road.
  9. PS. I'm surprised they didn't schedule all of their Big 12 games at home.
  10. I don't care what the eye says when you play all your games at home your schedule is a joke.
  11. Why don't you guy's buck up for season tickets. If your out of town give them away .It's your duty as Billiken.comers
  12. There is no question we missed on Ahern, but this board acts like we are the only program who misses. I don't know who watched the Tenn. Memphis game last night but Tenn. had a kid named Chris Lofton score 34 points on great long range shooting. He's from a small town in Kentucky. According to Jimmie Dikes[sp] he wanted to go to Ky. or Louisville and never got a sniff.I for one can't wait untill Ahern graduates.
  13. Really wasn't much new. He's not upset with our team, but did feel that SIU was a winnable game. Several people tried to get on Ian's play. Brad said that while he can play better his play hasn't been all that bad. If he shot freethrows like last year he would be scoring at 17-18pts a game with 10+ boards. Not all that shabby. The 3 freshmen would play if they could beat somebody out. He's not unhappy with their play or effort. He said we'll know whether we're a tournament type team by Jan. 1st.
  14. So how do you fix a freethrows problem? You act like that is something a coach can do. Why can't Shaq shoot throws. How about Bruce Bowen or Tim Duncan. If it was easy or coachable why haven't these professional coaches done their job? I think Brad is doing the right thing by not making a big deal out of it. He said at the Billiken Club meeting last night he told the players to get in the Gym and work it out. It's all about routine and confidence. When you've got the answers go sell yourself to Shaq. I'm sure he'll pay you big money.
  15. Who was the guy from Missouri. Kleza? Hell of a player.
  16. Whats wrong with Brian Grawer? Brian had a very good career at Missouri. I thought he would be exposed as a defender, get post up etc.,but it didn't happen. If Kramer plays for us and has Brian's careeer I would be thrilled.
  17. Roy I asked Brad about the engineering story and he told me that he never recruited him period. I think SIU got lucky by taking a shot at a not very good high school player who turned out to be a good college player.
  18. This is a stupid topic. Nobody is holding Tommie back. He is playing great. With the exception of his mandatory palming call I find nothing to be critical of. He doesn't have to force up shots to controle the game. Tommie is our most important player and certainly is our on court leader. Not to disparage anyone but he's our MVP.
  19. Lets face it any road game scares you. Untill we prove that we are an upper eschelon team that can win anywhere you have to be afraid. I do think our up tempo style may serve us better on the road. It doesn't make every single possesion as important, and will allow us to relax and play with less fear.
  20. I have always thought that Sanzere had a hard on for the Billikens. He lives in the Cinci area and seemed to always do our game with Xavier. He is an ego freak who likes to make the big call and then stare down the objecting coach. Suffers from small man syndrome. What I don't understand is how guys like Sanzere and Valentine end up doing final 4's.
  21. I think you make a good point. Went to a Louisville away game a few years ago and was amazed at how good their in-game stuff was. Even DePaul did a better job of creating atmosphere. Our in-game timeout entertainment is very lame. Nothing like having students run around dribbling basketballs and picking up pizza boxes,Oh wait we have no basketballs.
  22. For whatever reasons we never draw well untill Christmas. Hopefully if we are winning the crowds will come after North Carolina. North Carolina should be close to a sell out.
  23. I think Cheryl deserves a lot of the credit for the arena and deserves all the credit for the practice facility and offices.
  24. I hope there is more to come. Maybe another outlet. I thought CSTV was contractually obligated to carry 10 games.
