I don't know anything about this kid but Welston's academics are bad. I would be very surprized if this kid could qualify for any D1 school. I think you are looking JC at best. If kids from Vashon have trouble qualifying I don't think a kid from Welston has much of a chance.

I have always been a Coach Knight hater. I thought he was a bully who treated his players like ###### and coached through intimidation. That said I really like him on ESPN. His basketball knowledge is unsurpassed,but he keeps it simple enough to follow and doesn't use terms like their running a UCLA cut.I really liked him the last couple of weeks when he threw Callipari and Kentucky under the bus. I thought he might get in trouble with ESPN for getting on the establishment, but he and Musberger had a long conversation during one of the games they were doing. Besides Callipari he got on the NCAA for their 1 and done policy. Good stuff.

On the Sporting News basketball website they have been running a blog called moment of the decade. Today's item is dedecated to Justin Love for breaking Kenyon Martin's leg in the CUSA tournament. Actually it's about a Cinnci kid lamenting the loss of Martin.

I know the university has made an effort to bring Rich back into the fold,and I know he is a member of our Hall of Fame,but I would like to see more. Yes, He absolutely saved our program. He should be honored at half time like we are honoring different years.Father Biondi should get on the phone and make a special invitation. You see a Denny Crum involved with Louisville, why not Rich?

I'm not sure that I would say thar Roland had a better college career than Monroe. They both had very good careers. Yes Monroe was hyped as all world,and Roland was thought to be a throw in,but their overall numbers were very close. I understand your point about Evans but if McCall has a career nearly as good as Monroe I would be thrilled.

You should get new kids.

I think the Jeff Reid situation will become very obvious. If he takes a medical redshirt it is because Rick likes him and wants him back. If he doesn't he'll likely be gone. I have no info here but it wouldn't shock me if he doesn't come back for the second semester. He did have 1 great game,but let's not forget Donnie Atkins the star of midnight madness.

Assuming things stay the same and Ellis eventually shows up I will be very disappointed if we don't make the tournament. As to winning some games that might take 2 years, though winning 1 might be possible.

I said this before, [of course Roy disagreed]and I'll say it again,Jordon's handle is not very good. He is very shaky when pressured. Unless he improves his ball handling he is not your best option at the point. I think Rick agrees as Jordon is probably his 4th option at the point.
