doowop
I hope our big men watch Wisconsin and get motivated by the way they play, especially their big men. Were any of Wisconsin's players top 100 high school players?

We never got the banners we deserved in the Kwamain/Jett years

That comeback was insanity. I remember sitting at the game at half trying to decide which Disney park I wanted to visit since we weren't going to have a game. I remember sitting at the game at half trying to decide which Disney park I wanted to visit since we weren't going to have a game.Agreed. Had we been the ACC team (and they the A-10 one) it would've been considered the greatest comeback in history. All I kept thinking about was the Illinois comeback against Arizona in the Elite Eight. I wish we had beaten Michigan State. That would've been huge publicity. I also feel that was our best team over the past few years. We would've played Louisville in the Sweet 16. Also, had we beaten Oregon, we would've played Louisville in the Sweet 16. Crazy little quirk
slufan13
The game I most wanted was Michigan State. If you had given Majerus 4 or 5 days to prepare for Louisville in the Sweet 16, I think we could have won that too. I truly believe if we had played Oregon again the next day, we would have won. It was just one of those nights. Credit to Oregon, but we were the better team. I know the AP poll says otherwise, but I actually thought last year was the worst of the last 3 years. But that comeback was amazing. Just found a way to win.

Crazy little quirk Maybe we could have won in 2012 or 13, but can you imagine if we had lost to Louisville in the tournament 3 years in a row? How much (more) hatred would everyone have for Pitino? hsmith19
SLU has never beaten a better seed than 7 in the tournament. Hard to get a lot of attention once the games start without better wins. Michigan State would've changed that. Beating Oregon, as hot as that SLU had been up to that point, would've just been seen as doing what they were supposed to. That's the same reason the NC State comeback wasn't a bigger deal--it was a team that had been top 10 not long before barely squeaking by a 12 seed a lot of people said didn't really deserve to be in the field in the first place. I agree the '11-'12 team had the most total talent, but the Loe/Evans/Jett/McCall tandem got much better the following two years. It really would've been nice if they had had even a couple younger contributors to complement them the way they did under Conklin, Kwamain, and Ellis when they were sophomores. Last year was the year I had been counting down to and that I expected to be the highpoint, but the reinforcements just never arrived.
