Billikenbooster Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Our daughter registered for the baby race for February 22. She still hasn’t heard whether she is in or not. Just wondering if anyone else has applied and heard whether they are in or not. AtOur daughter registered for the baby race for February 22. She still hasn’t heard whether she is in or not. She said she registered right away once it was announced. Quote
TheA_Bomb Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Get in contact with @BACKHANDtheRICAN that kid needs to get on a cycle and be ready for the race. Let me know the split times from training. I'm trying to decide who to lay my $ on. MBB might handicap this with a stone cold lead pipe lock but I like using the Wiz's advanced metrics. For instance one may think a bald baby is 28% more aerodynamic than one with hair however New England Journal of Medicine vol 369 study claimed that babies with hair have better muscle development. That early development leads to a greater burst in straight line speed. The study neglected endurance at distance. But there's a study from the German Institut für Baby-Leichtathletik, Dr. Weinhallenstaphenheimer, found babies born in winter months are heartier and thus may have greater endurance. So I am looking to bet on a baby with hair born in winter months that has completed a cycle. CenHudDude and Lord Elrond 1 1 Quote
pierrelaclede Posted January 30 Posted January 30 We participated in the baby race last year and had the same question. We reached out to friends who had done it previously too and the people in charge will not reach out until very close to the actual date. We had the same concerns. Stay patient! Quote
Todd Packer Posted January 30 Posted January 30 I received the formal invite with a google form to register on 1/24/25 Quote
cgeldmacher Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Agree. My son, who is 15 now, participated. We registered and heard much later. I think they collect registrations, figure out how much space they have, and then notify everyone. Quote
