SLU Records Review

I've been kind of waiting for @Pistol to take the lead, but what the heck. The list is pretty short.  Listed below are first Career and then Single Season records for our current squad.  I'll leave out class records until the end of the year.  Those records nation wide have been somewhat bastardized with the Covid 5th year rule. @Pistol add or correct as you see fit.

Collins Career:  10th Ave Minutes per Game, 16th Total Minutes Played, 1st Assists, 1st Turnovers, 6th Steals.  Collins Season: 2nd Assists

Forrester Season Only:  T8th FG%

Jimerson Career: 24th Total Points, 5th 3's Made, 7th 3's Attempt, 5th 3 FG%, 4th FT%.  Jimerson Season:  15th 3's Attempt

Okoro Career:  2nd FG%.  Okoro Season:  11th FG%

Perkins Career: 30th Total Points, T11th FT%, 21st 3 FG%

Yeah, we can get the full version of this going again. Thanks for the nudge.

Francis Okoro has a FG% of .558, which would be 8th all-time for fourth year players. He's .580 for his SLU career, which would be second behind Kelvin Henderson (.636) and just ahead of Willie Reed (.574). However, he could also be bumped a spot by Jake Forrester. He's currently 10th in rebounds for fourth year players with 249; Jerry Koch is 9th, with 250. He will likely be short of the all-class rebounding list (needs to end up with 349). His 38 blocks are currently tied for 5th among seniors with Cory Remekun.

Javonte Perkins has 1,132 career points, good for 26th all-time in SLU history. He just passed Bob Ferry (1,128) and next up is Davell Roby (1,160). His career scoring average (14.0) is just outside the top 20 but he could make it back in if he finishes the season strong; 14.3 PPG would tie him in 20th.

Javon Pickett could make the senior FT% list if he can get his .806 up to .832. However, if he gets to 100 attempts (currently 72), he would qualify for the career list and his .806 would tie him in 9th.

Jake Forrester has a FG% of .581, which would be 3rd all-time for fourth year players and 10th on the all-class list. He needs 8 more to qualify for the career list, on which he'd be second. However, his FG% marks could come up against Okoro's numbers depending on how the rest of the season goes. He has 21 blocks and needs to get to 27 to crack the top 10 for seniors.

Yuri Collins now has 829 career assists and owns the all-time record. He also took the fourth year and all-class season records, now at 275. His 20 assists vs. Tennessee gave him the all-time single game record, passing his previous mark of 19. He has 39 steals this season, 10 shy of the fourth year player top 10 list. He has 173 career steals, now fifth all-time, bumping Kwamain Mitchell (172) to sixth and one behind Jordair Jett (174). He has played 3,588 career minutes and is closing in on Dwayne Evans (3,616) for tenth. His 35.5 MPG this season tie him with Monroe Douglass for 7th most in a season.

Terrence Hargrove is not currently on pace to make any lists this season.

Gibson Jimerson has 1,239 career points, tied for 19th in program history with Jordair Jett. Jim Irving is 18th (1,269). He has 394 points this season and needs 456 to tie Javonte Perkins in 10th for third year players. He has 74 3-pointers, good for second among third year players (I'm assuming he's going on the third year lists despite his RS season) behind Erwin Claggett (87). That number is also good for fifth all time in a season behind Jeff Luechtefeld (82) in fourth. For his career, he has 222 3-pointers, which is fourth all time behind Scott Highmark (230) in third. His career percentage of .406 is tied with Justin Love for 7th all-time. This season, his .394 percentage would be 9th for third year players. His FT% of .810 is barely shy of the top 10 for the class (.811) but his career mark of .824 would be 5th all-time.

Fred Thatch ended his season and career early and will not qualify for any lists.

Sincere Parker is .889 from the FT line this season, which would be second all time for second year players, but he needs 14 more attempts to qualify.

Daniel Rivera did not play this season.

Lamont Evans is a perfect 1.000 from the field in just one attempt. He needs 99 more to qualify for the FG% list.

Larry Hughes, Jr. hasn't played enough to qualify for any lists.

Mouhamadou Cisse hasn't played enough to qualify for any lists.

Kellen Thames will not qualify for any lists.

Phil Jones will not qualify for any lists.

Nick Kramer did not play this season.

His 46 blocks are tied for 3rd among seniors with Abdur Rahiim Al Matiim.

Javonte Perkins finished with 1,186 career points, good for 22nd all-time in SLU history, one point behind Carl Johnson and moving Hasahn French (1,178) to 23rd. His career scoring average (14.0) is just outside the top 20; he needed to get to 14.3 PPG.

Javon Pickett came up short of the season and career FT percentage lists, as he ended up at .797 for the season and 21 attempts short of the minimum needed for the career list.

Jake Forrester ended up with a FG% of .568, which is 7th all-time for fourth year players and just shy of 10th on the all-class list (Gibson Jimerson, .570). He reached the 125 minimum FGA to make the career FG% list, on which he is now tied for third with Donnie Dobbs. His 30 blocks are good for 8th among fourth year players.

Yuri Collins owns the all-time assists record, with 878. He also took the fourth year and all-class season records, with 324. His 20 assists vs. Tennessee State gave him the all-time single game record, passing his previous mark of 19. He just barely made the 1,000-point club, reaching 34th in program history with 1,002 total points. He had 42 steals this season, 7 shy of the fourth year player top 10 list. He has 176 career steals, good for fourth all-time, bumping Jordair Jett (174) to fifth and three behind Josh Fisher (179). He has played 3,751 career minutes, which is 8th, just behind Jordan Goodwin (3,907). His 35.1 MPG this season tied him with Roland Gray, Josh Fisher, and Kevin Lisch for 8th most in a season.

Terrence Hargrove is not currently on pace to make any lists this season.

Gibson Jimerson has 1,303 career points, good for 18th in program history behind Lewis McKinney (1,325). He had 462 points this season, just shy of the 465 he needed to tie Javonte Perkins in 10th for third year players. He had 85 3-pointers, good for second among third year players (I'm assuming he's going on the third year lists despite his RS season) behind Erwin Claggett (87). That number is also good for fourth all time in a season. For his career, he has 233 3-pointers, which is third all time behind Kevin Lisch (259). His career percentage of .409 is sixth, behind Erwin Claggett (.412). This season, his .401 percentage was 9th for third year players. He has attempted 569 3-pointers in his career, which is 5th most in SLU history. His 212 3PA this season were the second most attempts ever, behind Claggett (246). His FT% of .837 is fifth for his class and his career mark of .831 is fourth all-time.

Fred Thatch ended his season and career early and will not qualify for any lists.

Sincere Parker was .875 from the FT line this season, which would be second all time for second year players, but he was 10 attempts short of qualifying.

Daniel Rivera did not play this season.

Lamont Evans was a perfect 1.000 from the field in just one attempt. He needed 99 more to qualify for the FG% list.

Great info, @Pistol! Where would Jimerson be on the scoring list if he scores 462 points next season?

Fifth, between Monroe Douglass (1,877) and Scott Highmark (1,703). Jimerson would be at 1,765.
