Sullivan Award ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis senior Javonte Perkins is one of 38 finalists for the AAU James E. Sullivan Award. Fans can vote for Perkins once a day by visiting the organization's website here. The AAU James E. Sullivan Award presented by Eastbay has been presented annually since 1930 to the most outstanding athlete in the United States. Representatives from the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) created the Sullivan Award with the intent to recognize contributions and achievements from athletes across the country. Perkins enters his third season with the Billikens as one of the elite scorers in the Atlantic 10 Conference. His two-year scoring average of 15.9 ppg currently ranks 10th in school history. In 2020-21, Perkins led the Billikens in scoring with 17.1 ppg and scored in double figures in all but one game en route to second-team All-Conference honors. As a junior in 2019-20, Perkins was named the A-10 Sixth Man of the Year after leading SLU with a school-record 18.2 ppg in conference games. Voting for the award concludes Monday, Sept. 27, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
