Schasz
I like Cheryl's thinking...1st order of business, get Coach Soderberg a contract extension. Coach is the linchpin to future success of the athletic program as basketball is the Numero Uno revenue producer. This sounds like an excellent hire to me. She is also ready to help in the fund raising for the new on campus arena. Wow!!! Let's do sign her up today!!! http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/st...+director+today
billiken_roy
pretty much sounds like a done deal to me. she appears to be a fabulous choice!

tseugnekillib
If Levick was sought out when Debbie Yow left for Maryland, my guess is Yow recommended Ms. Levick at that time. I'm also assuming Yow and Levick know each other via one of the women's athletic administrators associations. Thank you Debbie, and thanks to Mike Ross for keeping Ms. Levick's name in mind! sluer
Cusumano said on his show on KFNS this morning that the announcement would not come today because someone involved in the process was ill. He didn't name any names. However, he said that Levick's hiring was a done deal.
Billiken Rich
Keep Soderburg and get the arena built. Sounds like she and I agree on the priority list. I didn't see soccer mentioned which is always a plus for me as well.
jjray
Her comments quoted in the article were freshing. An athletics administrator who enjoys fundraising? Lord knows the arena project needs such a leader. I note that she stated in the article that she had not met Brad yet. I assume that's the holdup. tseugnekillib
I believe Levick's women's soccer team at Santa Clara recently won a NCAA title! For that reason, she probably really likes soccer.
tseugnekillib
Brad may be running his Big Man's Camp in St. Charles this week.
DeSmetBilliken
Apparently the announcement hs been put on hold because of an illness in Levick's family. At the current time, her meetings today, as well as a press conference to announce her hiring were cancelled. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/st...+placed+on+hold
