SLU070810
My wife and I are headed down from DC to watch the game on Saturday. We emailed the SLU ticket office about tickets but didn't hear back. So I guess I'm going to buy from the Richmond website. It appears that there are two types of tickets 1) premium $22 and 2) priority $15 Anybody know if the "premium" tickets worth paying a few extra dollars? Or have any other advice for where to sit? SLU070810
Backhand - Your incredible knowledge of other A10 arenas and extensive experience of seeing the Billikens on the road, clearly shows great insight and benevolence towards a fellow Billiken fan. Your advice is appreciated.

I haven't seen a game there but walked around the gym when I was a HS senior visiting (in what proved to be amazing foresight for our future conference, my final three were SLU, Richmond, and Butler, and SLU won with the best scholarship offer). The seating is basically a single tier like ours and the gym is a general box shape. Really not a bad seat in the house, from what I can tell. It supposedly gets very loud and offers a great home court advantage. But I'm not thinking this SLU game would be sold out so you could always move up, too. I'd probably call and see what's left in premium and if it's nothing too close to the SLU bench, get the cheaper ones and move up as close as you can. Bobby Metzinger
Richmond alums here in STL are planning on a gamewatch at Napoli in Clayton, according to a friend who's a Spider.
Taj79
@SLU070810 ---- Richmond is about three hours for me and I've never made it. I won't this time either. However, I have had experience with the ticket offices at schools like GeeDub, La Salle, Temple and St. Joe's. In almost every case, if you approach the ticket office and state you are an alum of the visitors, they have sold me seats right behind the Bills bench. Robins is a one-tier seating facility and premium seats are from the concourse entrances down to the floor running the length of both sidelines. With the students behind the Bills' basket for the second half, I expect theBills bench to be in front of Section 7. The number to call is 1-877-SPIDER1 (877-774-3371). In most cases, I've called ahead and picked up tickets at the WILL CALL window. UofR game notes for tomorrow (game is at 6:00 pm EST/5 central). http://www.richmondspiders.com/fls/26800//Mens_Basketball/Game%20Notes/1213GameNotes/2012%20Game%20Notes%20vs%20SLU.pdf?ATCLID=205679758&SPSID=629633&SPID=91946&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=26800

Gotta go the phone route, though, instead of online (which actually might save you any BS service charges, anyway).

Stonewall D
Spider fan here. I would pay the extra dollars for a better seat. The location will be worth it. This is an important game for the Spiders.
