billiken_roy Posted February 13, 2013 Share Posted February 13, 2013 i had 6 different people approach me over the last two days about getting VCU tickets. i initially told them good luck that it was probably a tough ticket to get. but then after seeing the above, i got back in touch with them on the 1/2 price deal as well. i am surprised the VCU game isnt selling by itself. I'm hoping that it speaks more to the fact that the AD wants all of the remaining games to be as close to sell outs as possible than it does to tickets not selling well (ie hopefully they had around 9,000 for the VCU game, but wanted to sell out so they put up the deal). I am optimistic we will see 9,000+ crowds at all of the games from here on out (with the possible exception of St. Joes on a Wednesday). No idea about purchased tickets for Charlotte, but they are having students pick up their tickets ahead of time for this game like they did for Butler/Dayton/most big games. That's a good sign. Seems like Charlotte might be close to a sell out. The Groupon deal for Charlotte is sold out. Poking around on the Chaifetz ticket website, I was only able to get single tickets for the game.
