SLU Trying to Build on Traditions

Recommended Posts

This is an email I just received that was sent to all students:

Billiken Traditions 2009-2010

"Dear all students, faculty/staff, and alumni,

Please fill out this survey to help determine the top six traditions at SLU for the 2009-2010 school year.

With this information, the Billiken Traditions Task Force will help further the prominence of Traditions at Saint Louis University to build a common experience among the SLU community. It will also help establish the goals of the growing Cannonballers spirit society, of which we will have more information for you in the coming months. Thank you for your time!

The only one I could vote for, from experience, is Spring Fever. Just goes to show how old I am.

But I am interested in seeing whatever that documentary or program is on SLU 72 that premieres yearly. That guy must be legendary!

-i am not familiar with the cannonballers, who/what is that?

It's a new initiative by SGA (set up by former President Sam Howard) to plant the seeds of spirit on campus. They are the ones behind the "Billiken Signal" and the "Billiken Tradition" after-parties at Hump's.
