MusicCityBilliken
Remember Ian's little brother Alex? Seems he tried to get into Davidson but did not make the grades so now Charlotte and Fordham are looking at him. http://www.ninernation.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20085 Wonder why we are not in the mix? He can't be that bad if Davidson seriously considered him, especially if Josh becomes a Wildcat.

MusicCityBilliken
It's possible Ian didn't give SLU a completely positive review. I know Ian had his ups and downs with Brad but, as I recall, when he met RM, he said to RM he wished he coached him.

The previous coach never belittled a player.
Pistol
I know Ian had his ups and downs with Brad but, as I recall, when he met RM, he said to RM he wished he coached him. Yeah, the unfortunate thing is that Ian never had the experience the players will now have: new coach, new arena, etc., so whatever experiences he shared with his brother aren't going to be relevant anymore. jjray
If Ian thought Brad was too hard him, too negative, then it would have been a disaster for the guy to play for Majerus. If his brother is in the same sensitive mold, it's best he not come to SLU.
ACE
If Ian thought Brad was too hard him, too negative, then it would have been a disaster for the guy to play for Majerus. If his brother is in the same sensitive mold, it's best he not come to SLU. Who knows. Perhaps Ian would have had more respect playing for a guy like RM, who has an impressive track record of coaching up bigs. When Ian met RM last spring, he told him he wished he would have had the opportunity to play for him.

ACE
Where did you hear that? I don't doubt it...i just never saw that posted. I heard the same thing. I believe it was in a Post-Dispatch article around the time of the RM hiring or maybe in Timmerman's blog.

The only time this board hurts the Billikens is when opposing coaches use it to scout the team. That happens all the time.

Willie Nelson
Impossible every player had a perfect experience at SLU before Majerus became coach. The previous coach never belittled a player. Yea and he taught them how to use paint on windows to make it look like they have afros in pictures instead of the steps of feeling and peeling on help defense, perfect experience. He belittled them by not forcing them to play at their potential.
