KC Billikens Fan
Who do we play? I assume SIU is one of the teams, but how about the remainder?
Dungeon Yankee
So far SIU, Loyola of Chicago, and Pacific at home, and MO State on the road
BLIKNS
Someone posted earlier(sorry don`t know who gets credit)that we play @Kent State.
Four Seventeen
Yeah, I get a daily Google News alert for the keyword "Saint Louis Billikens" and I saw that article posted about two weeks ago. I made some comment about the song "Ohio" by Neil Young. Yes, we do play @ KSU this year.
Scoop
That is kind of weak. Hopefully the Rick can pull something out of his hat.
cheeseman
Very late to expect a top flight nonconference schedule for next year. What is shows is that Brad was struggling with putting the schedule together so RM has 5 slots to fill and at this point he may just have to settle for what he can get. SLUDrew
That could make it next to impossible to make it to the tourney short of winning the conference tournament. Although, it can only help us in eyes of the committee that Majerus is our coach.
nostatic
No, that's not what it shows Brad had some good non-conf games in the works, and some of them backed out when Brad was let go.
cheeseman
Nostic - from what I have been told is all Brad had were conversations with a few teams nothing concrete or agreed to other than what is on the schedule already. If those teams wanted to play us then why would they drop out if Brad left - that simply left a hole in their schedule late in the process. Brad did not to my knowledge or anyone I have talked to have a BCS team locked up for next year.
nostatic
I heard he had DePaul for a home/home but Jerry Wainwright said he wouldn't play SLU after the way they treated their coach.
moytoy12
Ok, so Depaul is one (and not exactly a top line BCS team). Presumably, Brad still had 4 open spots. Now, i don't know if that is unusual or not, but that seems like a lot of open spots to have as of mid-April.
KC Billikens Fan
I know San Diego State is trying to get SLU to play at SDSU this year, perhaps in a tourney, and then San Diego State would come to play at SLU the following year.
