VTIME
What about trying to convince him to stay in-state now that the coach who recruited him to Iowa is gone. Let him know that he will be a force and the only post up option we have. He's a true banger, who likes to post up and could be all-conference all 4 years. This is what we should be hearing rumors about.

AJ
Skip: Cole signed a LOI in the fall with Iowa, so he cannot be actively recruited unless he is released by Iowa.
Westy03
Earth to Vtime, you cant recruit a player that signed with another school. Man, is Floyd Irons giving you advice?
VTIME
The coach left though. Beasley signed with K-State and he's being recruited. I dont remember whether Peterson committed or signed with Iowa, but Brad should let it be known that he wants Peterson and fellow Iowa recruit Jarryd Cole to come as a package deal and that they would both start from day one. brianstl
The NCAA would like you to share the info you have about Beasley being recruited right now. It would be a clear violation of the rules and would get any team in hot water for contacting him until and unless Beasley recieves a release. VTIME
Beasley said it during the Hoop Summit. There is no uproar about it. Also, Brad cant let it be known to Peterson that he is interested in both him and Cole and that they would both start right away.

brianstl
A realty scam with Floyd Irons has more profit potential than robbing a bank.
Box and Won
The good news is you can get a good deal on the foreclosed houses that Floyd bought. Here's one of them: http://www.cbgundaker.com/search/advanced/...707357&type=res
billiken_roy
vtime brad cannot make overtures towards cole without getting permission from iowa. you are way off base on this.

glanderm
Granted Beasley himself may not have said he is currently being recruited, but the second link you posted seems to indicate he is: "So tired of all the recruiting phone calls and text messages, USA forward Michael Beasley (Notre Dame Prep of Maryland) turned off his cell phone Friday night. 'It's still turned off,' the Kansas State-bound Beasley said after Saturday's 100-80 victory over the World in the Nike Hoop Summit at FedExForum." Thank you for saying exactly what I meant.
brianstl
The reporter implied that was his reason. There is a big difference between the two. The reason could have been he was sick and tired of all the calls and text messages questioning him about his status. There is a reason quotation marks are used in a article. It is so you know the difference between what was actually said and what was not.
glanderm
Read my post - I specifically said that Beasley did not say it himself but that the article implies that he is being recruited. That's it. I was just simply trying to clarify your post which simply posted a link and said "He did not say that".
brianstl
He did not say anybody was recruiting him. Show me where he did. I will tell you the reporter's implication is wrong. He didn't say it, because if somebody is recruiting him now they are breaking the NCAA rules. It is that simple.
brianstl
Reread your post and you clearly stated it was the report implying that.
glanderm
No problem. The report definitely implies it, so I guess there are some NCAA rules being violated.
