I was talking to Greg Maracek of KFNS at the Bills game on Sat and he said that Billy Packer has been saying nationally that MU must get rid of Synder in order for the program to advance out of the shadows. Greg was particularly surprised that Packer said this because he said Packer and Coach K are like blood brothers. What that says to me is that it is possible that the "Duke pedigree" may not save Q in this instance. I am still of the belief that the NCAA will not do anything because they are a bunch of weak hypocrites who are in it for the money--but who knows! Regardless of what scandal or malfeasance occurs with either team, I'll still root hard for SLU and Mizzou. I didn't stop rooting for SLU during the Ron Ekker era, so I'm not going to stop rooting for Mizzou because of my disappointment in Quin. It's called loyalty. We would probably discuss college basketball, and that would be it. It's not like I'm worried about you guys talking bad about Mizzou.... Roy's sometime over the top approach can be a little disarming but I know I have come to keep it all in perspective because he is a true SLU fan - sort of like family. It is a little harder to turn the other cheek or overlook comments that are made about SLU from someone who has as their handle MUFAN2000 and seems to get upset when people rib him for backhanded praise or other comments that if not consciously intended to rip still do so unconsciously. Your are always welcome to comment from my perspective but then keep in mind that becoming defensive about your position is like blood for sharks.
