  1. Thanks for helping us keep the lead Fatts. Please keep taking deep threes
  2. It is so noticeable when Yuri is in the game vs when he isn’t. He makes the offense so much better.
  3. Could be the blue-tinted glasses but based on the article it sounds like we have a really good shot at landing him.
  4. It’s a new day guys. The loss sucked last night and I know that I was as mad as anyone. But this is still a great team, COVID be damned. If you don’t believe me, go watch some of our highlights from the VCU game last season it when we played LSU. I don’t care if we gotta win 4 games in 4 days again, this team will make the tournament, mark my words. And if I’m wrong, oh well. I’d rather be wrong while supporting this team than be right while doubting it. Go Bills.
  5. Goodwin forces A LOT and we tend to ignore it because of everything else that he does.
  6. I know I can’t be the only one that thinks our half court sets look horrendous. Are we even running any plays?
  7. Yeah I’m used to seeing “postponed” right there. Maybe ESPN changed the formatting on their app.
  8. 8/35 from three. Yet they came out shooting like Golden State against us.
  9. The good thing is that we have the opportunity to get back to where we were. It’s February 2nd and we haven’t fallen far off the bracket. A dominant win over the Bonnies (just like we did last season with an inferior team) puts us right back where we want to be.
  10. I really hope that some of their posts were satire because I couldn’t believe what I was reading. One guy actually suggested that SLU was responsible tor Richmond going on pause and said that he wouldn't believe anything coming from SLU because we've missed the most amount of time. Last time I checked, Richmond is on their third pause and we only missed so much time due to our stringent protocols. Maybe Richmond could study our way of doing things so they don't have bi-weekly positive tests...
  11. That’s not where I intended the discussion to go when I brought that up. All I was saying is that I understand the caution that slu is exercising when it comes to covid because of potential long-term side effects and used myocarditis as an example for that.
  12. Admittedly, my take was based on two main examples, Keyontae Johnson and Eduardo Rodriguez of the Boston Red Sox. As I said in my reply to Brian, though, if myocarditis is just as common in other illnesses, then I apologize for bringing it up.
  13. I appreciate this insight. If this is the case, then I apologize for using Keyontae Johnson as an example. However, I still fully support our medical staff because I’m sure that they understand the risks associated with COVID much more than I do.
  14. Like I said, I’m not talking about cancelling the season here. I just think that it’s reasonable to be cautious about a virus that we don’t fully understand yet.
  15. Keyontae Johnson isn’t the only example though. And I’ll admit that it’s rare and not common, but at the same time we’re not talking about cancelling the entire season. I’m just talking about being cautious.
  16. Florida’s Keyontae Johnson nearly did when he collapsed in the middle of a game. He was diagnosed with myocarditis a few months after having COVID. The number one priority of our medical staff and administration should be protecting our players. That’s why we have such conservative restrictions like the 7-day return-to-play guideline for players that tested positive. Based on that, I’d be willing to bet that the medical staff had a genuine concern with Richmond’s protocols. And honestly, I’m alright with that. Even if 80% of the team is already “immune.” Our players’ health is much more important than basketball.
  17. What a momentum shift. Side note: I really like this announcing team.
  18. With GJ and JP off, keep punching it inside. That’s the only place we’re having success
  19. We’re not even playing bad D, Dayton is just shooting like the Golden State Warriors right now. They’ll cool off
  20. Man, we were a powerhouse in the 40s and 50s!
  21. I had the same thought but I’m hoping that we won’t look as bad. We have a lot more depth, which could potentially offset a lack of conditioning, and can always play bully ball to win if the shots aren’t falling. Trying to stay optimistic at least.
  22. If I’m not mistaken, the 7 day return to action protocol is to monitor a player’s health for any unexpected complications from the virus. With the reports of the virus causing myocarditis and seeing Florida’s Keyontae Johnson collapse suddenly after having the virus months ago, I don’t really think that this protocol is a bad thing. Our players’ health is much more important than missing a couple more conference games. This probably wouldn’t be as noticeable if 80% of the team didn’t test positive either.
  23. https://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/slu/built-like-a-tight-end-french-pursues-basketball-dream-at-slu/article_52d92325-584a-57db-a378-fd96d5d62e59.html Found this article from 2017 on French. It looks like he played in middle school but isn’t clear if he played at all in high school.
