  1. Lol. You're not a "snowflake" just as long as you get upset about all the right things. So dumb. Great post Glazed.
  2. Lol. I'm not offended. I'm not naive enough to assume a$$holes dont exist in the world. Like I said, I feel bad for you. I just find it kinda funny that you come here to troll, then call people "snowflakes" when they inevitably react. This is a fan board for the Billikens. The very fact that we post here proves that this is something we're passionate about. Trolling here is fish in a barrel. I'm sure if I got to know you and found out what you're passionate about, I could say some things that would get you to react in the very same way the people you're calling "snowflakes" are reacting now. Emotions are natural. Everyone feels them. Including you. Upsetting people doesn't make you smart or clever. It just makes you an a$$hole. Find something better to do with your time. This is just sad.
  3. Hey guys, kinda off topic, but since we're talking about new stuff they're putting downtown, what do you guys think of the apartments they're putting next to BPV. I'm ALL FOR anything that helps revitalize the city, but I'm not sure I'd want to live right next to the stadium, and If I remember right, they're charging an arm and a leg. But I think I also heard they were filling up fast. Just wondering what your guys' thoughts were.
  4. Lol. Attacking people for feeling real human emotions doesn't make you tough sweetheart. The fact that you go out of your way to come here and intentionally try to upset complete strangers speaks volumes about your character. It's actually pretty pathetic. I feel bad for you. But being an a$$hole isn't illegal. So you do you. We'll react accordingly.
  5. The officiating in the A10 is atrocious. But I find it hard to buy in to all the officiating conspiracy theories...mostly because A10 officiating has ALWAYS BEEN atrocious. They were atrocious yesterday. They were atrocious last year. They were atrocious the year before. They're atrocious when SLU plays Dayton. They're atrocious when Fordham plays Lasalle. The biggest problem I have is with the consistency. They don't call a reach in 1 situation, but then call it on almost the exact same play in another. Kids have zero idea what they can and/or cannot get away with. I also think we are unintentionally penalized because we have a reputation for being a tough, physical team. And since A10 referees are already horrible, they go into plays assuming SLU is going to make contact on defense and initiate contact on offense, leading to a lot of phantom/missed calls.
  6. Sorry. I only have enough attention span to look at the most recent replies.
  7. But if he aims to bank it, those short free throws that end up airballs now might end up as swishes. #ThinkAboutIt. Lol. But in all seriousness, I don't think any technique is going to matter until he gets out of his own head. We've heard so many people report how he knocks them down in practice. It's just a mental block. I feel for him.
  8. I whole-heartedly agree. I love JGood. Not meant to put him down at all. Without him, we're a .500 team at best. But the difference this year is that he is THE GUY now. He can't fall back on Isabell or Bess anymore. He's gotta be better because he's the engine and he runs the show now, and his teammates need that from him. That's NOT to say he's horrible at game management, AT ALL. And I don't think he makes those bad decisions out of ignorance. I just think he's such a competitor, and he knows he's the leader now, that he always wants to be the hero and he tries to do too much and force it. That's a good problem to have and I'll take JGood's aggressiveness over a player afraid of big moments any day. But he needs to learn to pick his spots, especially late in games, when other teams KNOW he's gonna have the ball in his hands. He needs to trust him his teammates...and if they miss, he can go get that big offensive board. It probably sounds like nitpicking (it probably IS nitpicking), but something he needs to work on.
  9. My point is, there's a difference between trying to rush 1v3 on a break with 12 minutes left in the 1st half, and trying to do it with a 4 point lead and 2 minutes left in the game...and he's smart enough to know the difference. If he's consistently getting called for pushoffs late in games, he needs to realize as a junior team leader that that's something A10 refs have started looking for and stop pushing off forcing shots late in games. I'm not asking him to pull up when he's got a lane. I'm asking him as the team leader to develop a better understanding and/or respect for the game situation at time and react accordingly. Going 110mph at all times, while impressive, isn't helping anybody. I don't think better game management is too much to ask from a player of JGood's quality.
  10. But every other player on the team isn't the team leader, both emotionally and physically on the court. If JGood calms things down, everyone else calms down. Like I said, there are times in a game when he absolutely should push it, and there are times when he absolutely shouldn't. The line between the two seems to have gotten blurred the past few games. But you're right, as a team collectively, every player needs to stop forcing plays to one degree or another.
  11. I don't want JGood to stop being aggressive at all. Not even a little bit. I do want him to be smarter as a leader on this team. Not forcing things when they aren't just simply aren't there. How many times have we seen him pick up an OBVIOUS pushoff offensive foul late in close games. How many fouls does he pick up 40 feet from the basket unnecessarily? If we're going to do much of anything the rest of this season, we're gonna need JGood's aggressiveness, but he's gotta be smarter about how and when to use it.
  12. For me it's Dayton and VCU, but that's more out of interaction with their fans, but both rivalries are still fun. But you're point is well taken. Never thought it that way til you mentioned it.
  13. I'm watching the Misery-A&M game (I have A&M covering in the last game of a small parlay, I don't give a fu©k about Misery basketball)...it's hard to watch. Just a hideous basketball game.
  14. 5 point game at half. Had it down to 3 before Baylor made a tought layup right at the buzzer.
  15. Speaking of: with the NBA all star game coming up, after winning the A10 mascot dunk contest last march, does the Billiken get an automatic bid into this year's NBA dunk contest? Just thinking out loud.
  16. Is it just me, or would anyone else pay an irrational amount of money for a pay-per-view event where the Billiken kicks the $h!t out of the hawk in the octogon? Let's see how hard those wings are flapping when the Billiken has you in a rear naked choke! #RiseOfTheBillikens
  17. Thanks for getting back to me. I don't want anyone to put in too much work of converting it to digital file if it's a hassle. I'll keep searching. But thanks again for the help.
  18. Hey guys, this is a little off topic, but talk of tourney scenarios got me excited, but I didn't want to start a new thread. Does anybody know if/where I can find a full-game video of the A10 championship against the Bonnies last year? I was on vacation, watching the game from Florida last year, so I wasn't able to record it. I looked on youtube and ESPN+, but I'm not exactly tech savvy and really don't know where I would even begin looking beyond that. Thanks in advance.
  19. I'd just like to point out that the Blues won the Stanley Cup only because I was listening to The Jealous Sound's album "Kill Them With Kindness" when we won the 1st game against Winnepeg. So I listened to it all game, every game through game 7 of the Finals. It's not crazy if it works.
