  1. I just voted for the Billiken in today’s primary, he’s just the leader this nation needs! (Billiken-Goodwin 2020! (French will be the secretary of defense...obviously)
  2. Well, technically, there are a several strains of Coronavirus virus. SARS was a Coronavirus. We’ve know about Coronaviruses since the 60’s and most often, it’s equivalent to the “common cold.” It’s called “Coronavirus” because the actual virus organisms look like little balls with little prongs coming off of it, like a the coronas of the sun, or the little prongs on a crown. But I wouldn’t count out a zombie apocalypse just yet...
  3. Yeah. And if I’m not mistaken, the 2 charges he took were within a few minutes of each other in the 2nd half. Hopefully that game can get his confidence sky high going into Brooklyn. It wouldn’t surprise me if he had a big few games in Brooklyn. Seems like he’s finally getting back to being 100% and trusting his stroke again. If he can get hot too...look out!
  4. How, exactly, was that Dayton team different than the current Dayton team? I’d love to hear your explanation. Whereas there are obvious differences between the SLU team that lost twice to Dayton and the current SLU team. Like Hargrove becoming a key contributor on offense and defense. The emergence of Perkins. Significantly better shooting from the perimeter to give Has and J-Good more space. The better understanding and execution of defensive schemes.
  5. Absolutely! Yuri is as phenomenal last night. But for me, and maybe this is a little bit of sentimental bias, but last night’s player of the game was Tay. He came out shooting early (he could’ve had 25 last night with a little better luck), he made that incredible diving save to keep the ball in play near half court, which lead to a big bucket in the 1st half, and he took 2 charges in the 2nd half. That’s NOT to say you’re wrong, because Yuri was amazing last night. Pretty much everybody was amazing last night. But I just want to give a tip o’ the cap to Weaver on his senior night.
  6. He had to have 4 or 5 that were great shots that rattled out. Hopefully he’s feeling confident. If we can get him going, along with Perkins, with TJ, J-Good and Yuri (it seems like Yuri hits 1 late-in-the-shot-clock 3 every game) making the occasional 3, it would make things a lot easier.
  7. Why are you here? What’s the point of behaving like this? I’m genuinely asking. What motivates you? Honestly...
  8. Hargrove is gonna hit double figures on highlight reel dunks alone!
  9. Just saw someone posted this in the Bubble Watch thread. Just ignore me. Keep scrolling.
  10. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/28577356/ncaa-tournament-bubble-watch-updated-look-wildest-bubble-years Haven’t seen anyone post this yet. Apologies if it’s a duplicate. We’re being noticed.
  11. If we’re gonna call kids tools for not coming to SLU, it makes no sense to give up kids who DO come to SLU after 1 year, simply because they only played a few minutes, especially when an injured is involved. No kid who comes to SLU to play basketball is a finished product before, during or after their freshman year. Cut the kid some slack. Jesus.
  12. That’s not a whole helluva lot of info to make a pretty ginormous assumption. My point is, there are plenty of other explanations for him only playing 9 minutes outside of him not being any good.
  13. And you can make this assumption from what info, exactly? Look at how long it took TJ to pick up the offense and defense, now imagine you’re limited in practice at the start of the year because of an injury. There’s a reason Ford recruited and signed him. 9 minutes of game time and sh!tload of speculation doesn’t change that.
  14. I wholeheartedly disagree. If every program gave up on kids because they didn’t play big minutes their freshman year, especially when the kid came in injured and behind everyone else on the team, they’d be missing out on some phenomenal players. But whatever. The only possible explanation for him not playing more this year is that he’s bad, and has no potential to contribute. Whatever you say boss.
  15. Where would they have found minutes for him? Which game this season can you point to where you think to yourself, “this would be a great time to find minutes for a true freshman, who came in injured and got a late start, and get him his first minutes of D1 basketball”? Did I miss a game where we were blowing a team out by 35 points? Even games where we built 20+ point leads never felt comfortable ‘til the very end. Yeah, it would’ve been great to find him some minutes this season, but you still have to win games. Just because he wasn’t ready this year, DOESN’T mean he won’t be ready next year.
  16. You said that you would try to get kids who’s potential you don’t believe in out as quickly as possible. I asked if it was a generic statement or if you were referring to Diarra. You said it was generic but could be used in reference to Diarra. What exactly did I take out of context?
  17. He came in with an injury. He’s been playing catch-up since he arrived on campus. There are any number of reasons for such a scenario outside of him not being any good, or not having any potential. We’ll find out next year. I’m just not ready to throw a kid under the bus with speculation when he came in with an injury.
  18. Is this just a generic statement...or are you referring to Diarra?
  19. He’s a 20 year old kid. Kids do stupid things sometimes. We all did. We make mistakes. He’ll be better for it in the end. No biggie, just be smarter next time DJ.
  20. I’m out of reactions, but yes...just yes!
  21. To answer your question: I didn’t. Lol. His stroke is so broken. No legs. Just shot putting it up there. But at least J-Good has been consistently better over the past few games. Hopefully he’s fixed it. That would help a lot.
  22. I know the results weren’t there tonight, but J-Good’s free throw stroke looks infinitely better. He had at least 2 that rattled in and out. Those improvements could be huge going forward.
  23. Every single time we try to take the air out of the ball and milk the clock...this happens. Attack!
  24. GMU gets an obnoxious roll on a 3 to fall, but J-Good’s rattles our. Unbelievable.
