  1. I need to go review some of his past games. Recently, he seems to be shooting nearly flat footed a lot.
  2. Probably because our depth looks better on paper than it is in reality.
  3. Agree with all of this. My issue with the Yuri foul was how late the call came in. 2 of our guys were already at half court on the fast break. The fact the foul occurred on the floor makes it even worse.
  4. You don’t even know who we played in the NCAA tourney so I can’t take you seriously.
  5. Because that gets rid of any advantage we have our this VCU team
  6. Thanks. I’ll edit my initial post to avoid further misunderstanding.
  7. It’s literally on the team’s schedule. https://slubillikens.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule/2020-21
  8. Since we have a deeper bench with a pass-first PG, we should increase the tempo to get more shots throughout the game. Slowing down plays into the hands of less-talented opponents because it increases potential variance.
  9. You’re right. BUT the context is important. Tennessee has no need for urgency. SLU, of course, does. Last night’s disaster was excusable.
  10. Final four? Lol. Someone fire up the Jim Mora meme.
  11. Linssen is one of the only players on the team who can truly create his own shot from his spots on the floor. This fact explains a lot about our struggles.
  12. St. Mary's did something similar a few years back, although I'm failing to remember the year. Hopefully someone can fill in the details.
  13. It's not a coin flip. The press release said the NET ranking will be considered relative to all A-10 teams. In other words, if a team like SLU (falling into the NET category) has the best NET ranking in the conference, it will be the #1 seed. Edit: Based upon projections on Twitter, it looks like we'll meet the 60% threshold, so the NET angle might not matter for our seed.
  14. Serious recommendation for any insider reading the board: Hasahn should try using a paradoxical intention.
  15. 9th best assist-to-turnover ratio in the country as a sophomore and some posters are talking about recruiting over him? Yikes.
  16. A lot of posters will be rushing to delete old posts about Yuri by the time he’s a senior.
  17. Different guys, interestingly enough. https://gomocs.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/malachi-smith/7611 https://247sports.com/player/malachi-smith-46086379/
  18. Greer is a 3-star recruit. Fringe top-250 guy. He’s a nice get but not all that noteworthy for a top-tier A-10 team.
  19. Neither of the previous "Situations" had criminal charges either.
  20. I must’ve missed that about Conklin. Can you expand? Wiki said he got in trouble a few times for elbowing opponents
  21. The losses by LSU, Minnesota, and NC State were all to teams with top 25 NET rankings at the time (Florida, who LSU lost to, dropped to 30 after losing last night).
  22. A few factors at play. LSU (19), Minnesota (31), and NC State (33) have maintained respectable NET rankings. These teams will likely stay high throughout the year since their schedules are littered with strong teams and they get some notable wins along the way. It also helps that we maximized our wins against lower ranked teams by winning by 10+. As Al Davis would say, "just win, baby!", but even better if we can do so by 10+ points.
