I have two tickets for tonight. They are up high. But the price is right.

We’ve had a hand in the conference not doing well. It’s not like we’re winning the league every year. Right now we aren’t better than this conference like a lot of people think. I would love to be better. But this program is what it is for the last several years. Yes Mizzou scheduled a weak schedule. I would hate that as a fan. I’d rather see a tough game and loose than a 30 point blow out of Coppin State. I’m glad we could have a mix on our schedule. But Mizzou has beaten ranked teams this year. Have we?

I’d agree with that. Especially because CF was using Pickett like a point guard that game.

I hope everyone that has trashed Pickett the last few weeks takes to time to mention what a game changer he was today.

That’s not fair to Pickett. CF and Yuri put him in that position. In those games you had a point guard that for some reason didn’t bring the ball up the floor. Someone had to. Pickett was put in an unfair situation. Everyone knows that’s not his strength. But yet he was forced to do it.

You said you thought Yuri was asked to do to much. I can see that. But when Yuri has his off games I think it’s because he tries to do to much. I can’t think that Ford wants him to play hero ball. I think the criticism towards him is because we see how good he is. So when he goes off his rocker and makes dumb decisions it’s frustrating because we know he’s better than that. He’s shown he’s better than that. We just need him to be more consistent with his decision making.

Just read an article about 6’5” guard Kael Combs out of the Springfield MO area. The article stated the teams that were recruiting him. It listed Saint Louis as one. Does anyone know if we are in on him? Or if they were just causally looking?

I don’t think it’s because he was replacing Pickett. I think it’s because he was having a good game then got buried on the bench for some reason. TJ had been out for a while at that point. It just so happened that Pickett was the one he replaced.

Look at Tony LaRussa high on the win list. And high on the loss list.

I don’t see Yuri sitting out if he can play. He doesn’t strike me as that type. The young man is a hard nosed player. I’m glad he’s our guard. I think Travis has done him a disservice by touting his as the best guard in the nation. He’s very good and fun to watch. But he’s not near the best. I just wish he didn’t default to hero ball so much.

So would you score that as a missed field goal, rebound then a made field goal? I liked him as a Billiken. Just don’t think he played a team game. But man he is talented .

Pickett obviously is not a point guard. He was put in a bad situation of having to handle the ball. For the life of me I can’t understand why you wouldn’t want”the best point guard in the nation” to handle the ball. This was 100% the fault if the coach. I would also say it’s the fault of Yuri. As “the leader and captain” he should have demanded the ball and taken Pickett out of that position. Let Pickett excel where he does. Rebounding, put backs, and short mid range jumpers not playing point.

Yuri flat out got owned tonight. Along with a couple others. They look like they don’t care. Sad effort.

When Perkins is bad he’s really bad.

Rickie wound have been okay if he could have just stayed away from those pink tied girls.

He didn’t look fine if you watched him. Lots of wincing when he moved his leg. I thought he must of really injured his leg in practice or something. I didn’t know about the car wreck.

We clearly are’t better off without him. But it could make us better for next year. Guess that could be the silver lining.
