  1. A few additions in red to Pistol's excellent work.
  2. Today we have a 2 to 7 possible finish range.
  3. Not disagreeing at all, but Duquesne came to Chaifetz and took our lunch money. That is our second Q3 loss. Both of these games should have flipped the other way.
  4. Yesterday's win is a Q1 win. We are 2-5 in Q1and 2-1 in Q2. Our 2 Q3 losses are black marks on our resume. Our two remaining games both are Q3. MODS, looks like we have two threads on this same, timely topic. At Large and NET. Combine?
  5. Javon Greene, George Mason's leading scorer, was suspended for the Duquesne game for violating team rules. No indication if that suspension will continue to our game.
  6. Timing for finding his stroke is certainly good for Goodwin and the Billikens.
  7. I looked back and that game was the "Wildcat Classic" which is an event KSU has played in KC for 10 years. I could not find out what the Wildcat Classic is besides a game away from Manhattan; is it an except event or whatever? I don' t know is what our contract with them says. I obviously hope for a return game here.
  8. Last tourney last few At Large's were St. Johns 73, Arizona Sate 63, Temple 56 and Ohio State 55.
  9. Auburn for sure skips a year, as they are in the Thanksgiving tourney with us. KSU was a 'special event' and even though marked as a Home game, it was on a neutral court. I don' t think there is another game with them, but I hope there is.
  10. We have a T'day tourney in Florida with Michigan State, Xavier, Auburn, Gonzaga, Belmont, Boise State and Sienna. Just looking at those teams, I expect we will 'draw' one of the first four in our initial game. We also likely play SIUC on the road. Home we have San Diego State in the MW challenge on Dec 5 and Boston College. That leaves maybe 7 home games and perhaps one road game to be scheduled.
  11. We are still mathematically alive for the A10 2nd seed. We win out, Rhode Island and Richmond lose out, and Duquesne loses at VCU, we take #2 on tie breakers. Losing twice to the Dukes could bite us.
  12. After we take down Rhode Island tomorrow, Richmond will be in second place through a tie breaker.
  13. Evans is also out for the Rams today along with two other rotation players. So VCU is playing down 4.
  14. https://www.scoopswithdannymac.com/heja-sverige-billikens-get-commitment-from-swedish-stretch-forward-andre-lorentsson/ Article on Lorentsson by Chapley. The last paragraph could start better. Andre won’t arrive in midtown till late in the summer. That means no weight training and no workouts with the staff.
  15. What the heck is StBonnie doing? Trailing LaSalle sans their ‘best player’ by 8 at the half. Top 4 seed is theirs if they want it bad enough.
  16. This is really the best way to frame next season. Anyone can play 'what if' on the first 11. No MBM has knowledge of what any of these 11's future hold. The two newcomers, same what if. As I have posted before, in the past decade, we have averaged 2.5 eligible players leaving the program per off season. Only in two off seasons in the decade have no players left. It happens.
  17. Wow, now I see why you are so excited about the possibilities of this new transfer rule. Do you think we could get players in as good as Clifton Moore? What are you most excited about, his 1.0 ppg career average, or his two year career total of 33 rebounds. I kind of like his career total of 5 FT made. And how about those career high 8 minutes he played in Dec 2018 against Central Arkansas. He was amazing.....1 of 2 from the field, but I understand that one bucket was pretty special. The fact that he only got in 15 of IU's 35 games was because of bad coaching. Moore has got to be the front runner for A10 POY next season.
  18. Congratulations to Dayton for winning the A10 regular season title tonight. The atmosphere was something special. Toppin was 10 of 11 from the field. His one miss was a three.(He did hit 3 of 4). Dayton missed 1, yes one, two point shot tonight. Crutcher missed a short jumper at 17:42 in the first half, and they were perfect inside the arc the rest of the game. They shot 34 of 47 from the field including 7 of 19 from the arc.
  19. Click on these two photos. Expand to full screen. Pretty cool shot of a Yuri no look pass.
  20. Not Coach Ford, but AD Chris May and Doug Elgin were on with Frank this morning on the Press Box. They discussed this transfer rule. Elgin said we do need to change the landscape but he doesn' think this is the answer. As most of us have posted, he said it will only benefit the higher level schools, and the poaching will go down the tree. May said "yeah, it sounds great, but it is fraught with danger and challenges. It is proven, that when kids transfer, it pushes their graduation back. It is harder to graduate when you transfer." May: "At the end of the day we are here to help the kids get an education. For the top 1%, it will be great for them." Both Elgin and May were in agreement that if a coach leaves, players should be able to go. "It's better than this transfer rule." Both also want a deadline for transfers. NIL comments: Elgin, 20 some states have legislation in the pipeline or passed on this. Probably the most complex situation in sports he has seen. Need to keep things level that don't give any conference an advantage. May thinks this will go into effect in 20-21. The details need to be worked out. How do you keep this out of the recruiting world. How do you insure that selling your NIL are sold at market rate. What third parties will be representing players and players families? What do you do in the high schools? It will go down to high school players who have committed to colleges.
  21. The SLU calendar says midterms begin Monday March 2, so it makes sense that they would come back for two days.
  22. I'm not sure when this will go into effect. Yesterday Coach said he felt it was 99% certain to be adopted, and he mentioned it being here this spring. Now, will it be immediate, or will it be for following the 2020-21 season? I don't know.
