Didn't realize Bayer Leverkusen 04 was playing a friendly in STL.   VfB and Köln are playing in Austin this weekend.

Must be a coordinated effort by Bundesliga to increase US exposure.  Which is good because you can watch every game on ESPN+.

I was in the concourse during halftime, and when I arrived back at my seat, my cousin told me that the contestant made the putt for the halftime putting contest they do every game. I told her that's fun and didn't think anything of it... only to find out this morning that it was Callum Hudson Odoi LOL

Congrats big fella!  Nice game the other day.  Stuffed the stat sheet with those 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists.

    FWIW

Logan - just got an offer from A Peay. Can't find much otherwise

Platauna - can't find much, other than people on twitter call him a "D1 talent"

Che - Commited to South Florida

Smith - Got a Memphis offer in June

  3. Heckling college kids is O-D-D when a fan is no longer in college. Odd with a capital O. It’s part of the agreement when you walk across the stage at graduation. You give up the right to do that and not be looked at like you’re a psychopath.

Fans, refs, and coaches are fair game. I’m all about a good zing, but heckling specific players on a team is strange. Just weird. If for instance, a 30 year old read what Kendric Davis said (he’s one of the best players in the country, he deserves to be confident) and decides to talk tomorrow night, send that person to an insane asylum

FWIW the folks I've talked to are 70+ so I see their issue more.

Game 1 - I stood in the area around the bridge for about 7 or 8 minutes without taking a step.  It was incredibly jammed up. Wasn't much of an issue because A I'm young, B it was still like 50's outside and not the 20s it will be soon.

Game 2 - walking wasn't as bad in that area, 2-3 minutes of standings/barely moving.  Worst part, and I was legit pissed, took me 24 minutes to get out of my parking spot on the roof. about 26-27 minutes total to exit the garage. No one was moving.

I parked on the roof for game one and it was the same. What is the difference between this year and past years? Surely the half of the VIP lot that is closed isn't making that much of a difference

Sorta disagree. Going into the WC we’re level with wales. Much higher upside, but all things considered, level. England missed out on CBs who I thought they were wrong on, but outside of very very few spots it’s way better than us.

only reason I think wales goes on is because of wales v England. This means the world to wales, not so much for England. I can see wales fighting for at least a point

Look at Wales squad 1-26 and tell me that with a straight face

  6. Talent-wise, we are a lot closer to England than the other two imo. We're young and Berhalter isn't the man for the job, BUT our talent can prevail. A healthy Reyna is back. He looks like a world beater in Dortmund right now. Our Leeds lads have been very good. Call me a homer, but IF Gregg stays out of the way (that's a big if), I've talked myself into the possibility of winning the group. England is really thin where we are deep - our wings vs their back line, especially if Walker isn't fit. I think our midfield can play with theirs. I think Jude could give us fits, but if Southgate plays any of Mount/Henderson/Gallagher, they're in big trouble. If they elect to go with two, advantage US. Their best creator is Maddison and Southgate has never played him when he's had the chance. Phillips will give us fits as we go forward, but not sure if Southgate will play him. Now, Dest and Jedi will have to play really well, as Foden is truly world class and Saka has been playing well as of late (fwiw, Ream and Robinson both played well vs City and Arsenal this season). Grealish would give us fits in the final third but Southgate hasn't played him with regularity either. Tuchel (RIP) turned Sterling from one of the most dynamic players in the world under Pep to just another guy. We need to be weary of giving away free kicks. Trippier is one of the best in the world.

As you can see, my mind is far enough away from Saudi Arabia to where I've talked myself into this. Don't try to disagree with me. I'm the one who is right. Just be ready for an all-time day drinking day on 11/25. And three points.

Literally anyone else…?   Long is essentially a traffic cone since his injury.  Just on the roster alone, I’d start Ream or CCV alongside Zim.  Not on the roster, I’d take Brooks, EPB, Sands, McKenzie. Hell, I’d even take Justen Glad or Matt Miazga before Long.

Long got torched all year by MLS attackers, how do we think he’s gonna cope with Kane ?

Yeah I’m not sure Long would be in top 10-15, much less top 2, and fwiw Zimmerman hasn’t been great post-Robinson either. The pairing was really good against some subpar teams (and Mexico), but for now the position is in some real trouble.

    Question for those with ESPN+...

    Can you record on ESPN+?

Will keep the games available for a limited time??

With streaming guessing you can rewind?

Yep, as 05 said. There's no reason to record as all of the games for that season are available to watch on-demand
