I'm optimistic about that too. But that doesn't mean we should accept this level of appallingly bad basketball right now. Last night was truly pathetic.

We showed a lot of resiliency today. There were plenty of times when we could have given in, but we kept battling back. As you said, I don't think today was our best performance of the season, but it was perhaps the most encouraging. Keep up the good work, boys. Let's carry this momentum with us to Duquesne.

My concern isn't that individuals aren't improving. My concern is that while individuals ARE improving, we still haven't shown a whole lot of improvement as a team. We are wildly inconsistent from game to game. Hopefully today's victory is the start of a winning streak, and more importantly, a streak of stability and consistency.

A lot of posters on here like to compare us to Dayton and/or Xavier. Have either of those schools ever gone from first to worst over the span of one season? Obviously there's still plenty of season left, and plenty of time to emerge from the cellar, but this is still concerning.
