I've had this discussion with May a few times concerning MU and other programs. The reality is that programs like these are truly scared to play us at home. The MU AD basically will not play us because they are afraid they will lose and have nothing to gain as the risk outweighs the reward. They even explored a neutral site in STL and home at MU and they wouldn't do it. They will not play us because they are scared. Same goes for home and home contracts with the usual suspects - Duke, UNC, Syracuse, etc The word is out that we are a mother...... to play at Chaifetz.

This is exactly right. There was absolutely nothing for us to decline as we were left off the list. We would have gladly paid the exit fee and joined had we been invited. The truth of the matter is we jockeyed pretty hard, especially through the corporate end (pressure on Fox through regional corporate sponsors), but the decision was beyond Fox. The AD did absolutely everything possible to get this deal done through every contact it had. It was not for a lack of effort.

I agree he played well but I about punched the TV when he was handling the ball in the last couple of minutes and shooting without burning any clock. I almost came unglued. These are things that should be automatic with any player with a moderate bball IQ. Those mistakes will cost us the game if not immediately corrected.

I would rather have the press in Feb and March. Let them have the press when it doesn't matter. We will be great this year. By the way, we dismantled the crap of them last year. Looking forward to the repeat.

It is a tough world you live in. At least you are starting to use capitalization and punctuation when appropriate. It is a bit unusual to be so distraught over the initial system when you don't take the time spell players' names correctly or the above. By the way, was it difficult to accept the use of the apostrophe?

I agree that players will come and go and when they do you fill the voids as they arise. I wouldn't oversign with anticipation of someone leaving because if you have a year where all players remain then you look like a piece of $hit; ie- Tanner.

These coaches are putting in work. Platt and Bronson are really getting it done. Cheaney is opening a whole new set of doors. Cheaney was the lead on MR. Crews closed the deal. The last 10 months have been off the charts for Crews. These guys are hitting the class of '15 hard too. They never stop. Look for McCaw to be priority #1. We have been checking in on him a ton. This is a new era of Billiken Basketball!

I will tell you these guys are recruiting harder than any past coach (RM included) and are in the mix with higher caliber players than we have been dancing with in the past. There is so much more going on than is out in the public. Cheaney is bringing a whole new dimension to recruiting and set of connections to SLU. This group is doing pretty damn good.

This is huge for our program. Calbert is a great guy and comes from an outstanding family. His sister and I were friends in HS and got to know Calbert in HS as well. He will represent our program very well. I am pumped to have him here. Crews is doing some great things here
