Good post. You guys are a tough team and I know you've seen similar teams to us this year. You guys are going to win down low. It isn't really a matter of stopping Green and Nix, but more containing them. We haven't had a good outside shooting game in a while so I think we may be due but you could also say that we're in a funk too. If we hit our shots from the outside, its going to be a very close game. I think both teams are going to be good defensively so SLU will need to not give you guys second chances because every possession is going to be important. Both teams have great coaches so both teams should be equally prepared.

If I had to compare Dickey to a Memphis guy, id probably go with Derrick Rose. SLU will bring Dwight Evans off the bench. Assistant coach, Guy Phillips, usually makes the calls for substitutions.

Very true. Dickey is a true point guard that also is a dead eye shooter from deep. He makes our team go on offense.

Ok enough joking around. These Memphis fans deserve to know the truth. It doesn't do fans any good to lie about our teams. We play a tough 2-3 zone about 80% of the time. The anchor of the zone is the man in the middle, a 6'9 junior center named Willie Reed. He's an athletic freak and while not overly skilled, he's a very hard worker on and off the court. He could have gone pro last year but he decided to come back and finish his education.

Just talked to Majerus. He says the game is too tough on paper and he's given up. He said we can't run with them and he spent the entire season setting up a zone just for this game but they guessed it right. Said he's completely intimidated by Pastner.

Xavier should've beaten Memphis but they threw it away at the end. Charlotte hung with Memphis but lost by 9 I think. They're awfully athletic and talented but there is no reason why we can't beat them. Majerus will have them ready and Ben Weixlmann tweeted that they're gonna watch the Xavier-Memphis tape tonight. I'm glad we play Friday. Give us an extra day to prepare. I think we'll see a lot of Cory. Rob will struggle in this athletic matchup.
