  1. I think if the players are taking summer classes, they are allowed to have like 2 hour workout sessions with coaches.
  2. I'm not really sure, but you know there are ways around that. Crews is only supposed to be helping out for this year so he could technically work with the big guys since he wouldn't be a coach. Not saying it's right, but it happens. Based on what I've seen from Manning (which isn't much) he seems really mechanical when he's out there. If he can get more comfortable out there and really learn the offense, I think he'll be really good. I had to get to the game 4 hours early on Saturday and I saw Glaze working on post moves with the coaches. They seem like the really want him to be able to contribute next year. Jared Drew is supposed to be pretty good. He's 6'6 with a 6'10 wingspan. From what I've heard, he's a better shooter than Dwayne. (I agree with whoever said Dwayne needs to shoot a ton of shots this summer (free throws included)) I actually think he'll get a little bit of time next year. He could be at the 3 and Dwayne could be at the 4 in some lineup decisions. I don't really like Dwayne at the 4, but it could happen. A side note on Dwayne, he's a good rebounder but I notice that he likes to tip the ball to himself sometimes and sometimes it goes out of bounds or someone else grabs it. I remember one time in the Dayton game where KM got upset with Dwayne telling him to just grab the ball. It sounds like Keith Carter is a stud. I see Kwamain really mentoring him next year. Not sure how much he'll play with all the guards we have. Either him or JB will probably get Cassity type minutes next year. (the minutes that he's played recently) I hope JB can contribute next year. He still has the best looking shot in warmups and practice, but that hasn't translated to the game much. He'll need to really work hard this offseason. McCall and Jordair just continue to get better. We're going to have a great backcourt for a long time. Yes we're going to have a very good team next year, but we at least need a threat in the paint. I hope Manning or Glaze can do that. Rob and Cody can get better in the post but their game will always be from the perimeter I think. Not sure if Cory is going to develop into the player we hoped for.
  3. Not sure, I noticed it, but didn't really catch what was going on. Either way, I don't think those balloons work and they're a huge distraction to the students anyway.
  4. And there are a lot of stadiums who don't have an aisle behind the backboard. Hell, SIUC doesn't even have an aisle behind the backboard in their student section.
  5. Look at the Mizzou game tonight. They have an aisle right there too, but students were floating into the middle of the aisle during the free throws at the end of the game. We get yelled at by security if we're in the aisles during free throws at games.
  6. It's also not distracting because we're not right behind the basket. I don't think we'll ever really have an affect on a shooter or a free throw if we're never allowed behind the basket.
  7. 10,000 white shirts for the whiteout instead.
  8. Current Scores: 70-66 St. Joes over La Salle 69-62 Charlotte over Fordham 72-68 Memphis over Xavier 73-56 Temple over Rhode Island 58-50 Saint Louis over Dayton 86-75 UMass over GW 81-72 Duquesne over Richmond Atlantic 10 Up to Date Standings Temple 6-2 17-5 Saint Louis 6-3 18-5 La Salle 6-3 17-7 Massachusetts 6-3 17-6 Xavier 6-3 15-8 St. Bonaventure 5-3 12-8 St. Joseph's 5-4 15-9 Duquesne 5-4 14-9 Dayton 4-5 14-9 Richmond 3-6 12-12 Charlotte 3-6 11-11 Geo. Washington 3-6 8-15 Rhode Island 2-7 5-19 Fordham 2-7 9-1 Also, it looks like Xavier will fall out of the top 50 with their loss today. We now have 0 top 50 wins again.
  9. The back of the student section was actually making some noise until we got the balloons and then after that it was nothing. It's also hard for everyone to do a cheer when you don't have the clapping. Clapping keeps everyone on the same page. There were a couple times in the second half where we were doing the same cheer but it was a mumbled together.
  10. It was hard to tell, but I didn't think the crowd was that loud for the size. Same with the student section.
  11. The balloons are fun, but I say get rid of them. The students get way to distracted by them and they don't yell or clap anymore. They're too busy making stuff out of their balloon. They distract the students more than the other team. I say lose the balloons and keep the noise level up.
  12. Didnt think we played that well, but I'll take a win.

Xavier travels as 5 point underdogs as they try to get a major road victory heading out of conference to face the Memphis Tigers. Charlotte is a 2.5 point favorite as they travel to Fordham in a big game in determining who will qualify for the A-10 tournament. Temple goes on the road and are 8.5 point favorites as they take on the suddenly resurgent Rhode Island Rams at 2 pm on ESPN2. Dayton looks to stop the 3 game conference losing streak as they face a huge road test against St. Louis at 5 pm on FCS channel. 14. It happens to me sometimes, I'll try to pay attention and see when exactly. Also, just a side note, I've noticed that the Billiken Tweets part on the homepage hasn't been updating lately.
  15. Gonna be a lot of casual and indifferent fans there today. Hopefully we can not only win, but provide a fun environment. Can't give those fans an excuse to stop coming to games.
  16. Pretty sure tvach would know better than any of us, so if he sells it's going to be a sellout, its going to be a sellout.
  17. I'm torn on this one, I think we have the potential to blow them out, but they're going to be really fired up after 3 straight losses. I'll say Kwamain has a great game. Scores 20+. Bills win by 15.
  18. St. Louis (KSDK) -- There will be "blue out" conditions on the Saint Louis University campus Saturday. The Billikens have a big game against the Dayton Flyers at Chaifetz Arena at 4 p.m. It's expected to be the biggest crowd of the season, possibly a sell out. All fans are asked to wear blue. Some Billiken greats will be honored at halftime, including 1,000 point scorers like Anthony Bonner, who went to the NBA. Other SLU legends, like Scott Highmark and Erwin Claggett, will be there. KSDK
  19. My guess is that it will be sold out. If it's not it'll be very close.
  20. I agree, teams have been shooting very well against us lately. Some have been good shots, but we've given up more good looks to our opponents lately.
  21. We have some really good players surrounding Kwamain, but he is still the key to our team. He definitely makes everyone else better. He needs to keep it going. He went 9-13 from the floor yesterday and his 4 misses were from 3. If he is hitting that drive to the basket, we'll be in great shape. JJ and MM have looked great lately. If you add sophomore year KM to that backcourt, I honestly think it wouldn't be a stretch to have sweet 16 thoughts.
  22. i hope everyone can wear blue. i think the athletic department is hoping to give away 10,000 white shirts for the white out. we would have them out on the seats when you get there. unfortunately, some billiken fans won't get the message that you're supposed to put that shirt on. can we possibly not let that girl who is a xavier fan sit in the student section this year?
  23. I think he'll be seeing the bench.
  24. @ESPNAndyKatz Andy Katz Class move by UNLV to hurry and get initials CS on uniforms for the late, great Charlie Spoonhour. Weren't we supposed to get a patch or something for Macauley? Looks like that's not happening and looks like nothing is going to happen for Spoon either.
