You guys pretty much have me convinced now. Sorry for bringing a negative attitide

This conference would: - dramatically increase our revenues through a better t.v. deal, increased attendance, higher giving by boosters, etc. In turn it will allow us to spend more on top coaches, travel, recruiting, etc. We will do it right. - Allow for recruiting top level players. We lose so many players to the big conferences and t.v. That disadvantage disappears with this conference. Sure, we'll still lose the elite local players to the Duke and Kentuckys of the world but we'll have as good a shot at a mid-level Big 10 or ACC caliber guy as any team. - the schedule will be far more attractive in this conference. - the myth of being in a small conference and dominating for a sustained time is just that a myth. You can count on one hand the number of programs nationwide that have been able to do that (Gonzaga, Butler, Xavier, maybe Creighton). One only needs to look at Carbondale to see how quickly it can blow up on you if you have a few bad years or hire a bad coach. Being in the right conference may prove to be tough in 2014-2015 when we have graduated all our top players and are starting the existing freshman and sophomore classes, but that will just be a speed bump. With the resources we'll have to hire a new coach and recruit we won't be down for long. All good points and I understand. And I'm just asking this honestly, why can't DePaul ever compete in the Big East?

I'm telling you it's the conference. First we get the conference, then we get the coach... THEN we get the ________. I could agree with that. Trust me I want to be in this conference. I just want to do it right.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I don't want this conference if we're not going to do it right. Need to dramatically increase the budget and hire a big time coach or we'll be on DePaul's level forever. I'd rather be the top team in the weakened A10 or MVC and make the tourney as a 8 or 9 seed every year than finish in the bottom 4 of a big conference every year with maybe a good 2 or 3 year stretch every so often.

With the the way that game was going, if Kwamain would've hit that shot, I would've fully expected Rhode Island to jack up an 80 foot that that would have been nothing but net for the win.

My stat is 17. 17 points given up in overtime. That's ridiculous even if some of the points came because we were fouling at the end

probably 05 and the Corral Crew Nah 05 was helping me out and the Corral Crew are great. Just some fans who decided to spend all of overtime yelling at the Rhode Island water boy rather than concentrating on the game

On another positive note, I just went off on some idiot fans in the student section tonight

29 points, 7 assists, 6 steals, 2 rebounds in 43 mins for Kwamain. 21 for Cody. Ridiculous that we can't pull out a win when that happens.

Teo's teammates now coming out anonymously saying that Manti loved attention and would go very far to get the attention on himself. I don't know if this was Manti's idea but unless some concrete investigative proof comes out saying that he wasn't involved, I'm going to believe he at least had a part in this

So am I understanding this correctly? Notre Dame says Te'o was a victim of a hoax, but Te'o said multiple times before that he met this girl? Wouldn't that mean that Te'o was in on it too?

I know he's struggled this year but I'd give the ball to this guy 2nd would definitely be Jordair. He can drive on anyone and get a decent look but I still want the guy who has proven time and time again.

Dwayne may have had 6 rebounds yesterday but I remember at least 3 times where he didn't box out his man and his man got an offensive rebound and scored. The other thing from Dwayne yesterday was early on the game when UMass got caught up in a bad switch and Rob was posting up Chaz in the post and Dwayne just looked at it and then called Rob out to set a screen for him. I'm not sure I've ever been more frustrated. Dwayne has struggled lately no matter what the stat sheet has said. I have complete confidence that he'll turn it around though. I wouldn't be surprised to see 20+ points and 8 rebounds out of him against Temple. Its good to see that we can win when some of our most important players have tough games.
