He got Travis Ford who is in a secret contract during a time when our budget is a huge concern. This isn't a sports school that needs athletic notoriety to get students. Just look at this year's record freshmen class. It's easy to blame the AD when you're not winning championships but you can't win everything all the time

I was just wondering what others take is on Chris May?  I really don't see him as a successful and positive model for SLU.  I mean he hasn't built anything facility wise, couldn't get SLU into the Big East, the volleyball team is horrible, and it seems like raising money is a problem because people don't seem to like him or trust him.  I know some former employees that don't like him  and they left SLU on a positive note so their comments are not negative because they were forced to leave.  Some students have also expressed their dislike for him as well as his girlfriend.  Anyone else get negative comments about Chris May?

Okay, I'll take a stab at it. It's not a complete work, by any means, but I just threw this together.

In just a matter of hours, the sheriff would be knocking on his door and the double-wide currently sitting on lot 23-B of the Terre du Carbon Mobile Home Park would officially become property of Soy Bank & Trust. But the foreclosure wasn’t his most pressing problem; he needed to get this place **** and span before the sheriff arrived, or he'd be headed back to the slammer – no small task, for sure. But thousands of empty Sudafed boxes don’t just throw themselves away, and what in the hell would he do with all these empty ammonia tanks? God damn, he thought, why did LuAnn have to die in that explosion...
The gravity of the situation bearing down on him, he began to think about just how he got himself into this mess. It seemed like only yesterday that he made that uncontested layup, the one that beat Red Bud at the buzzer to win state. They still talk about that game to this day.
As a high schooler, roundball was his only escape from the bleak reality of life in Carbondale, taking precedent over everything, especially his schoolwork. But once that magical senior season ended, it seemed like no one had any use for him anymore. Disillusioned with the game he loved and the townsfolk who had quickly turned their attention to the up-and-coming hot-shot sophomore point guard who held prospects of hardwood glory, he answered the siren song of methanphetamine...

At the end of the day it doesn't matter who you root for if the main purpose of your posts is to antagonize the SLU fans that post on Billikens.com.

It was awful. And yes I'm a huge Martin supporter. That makes me less of a Billikens fan?  

That's a great story if it were true, but it was only the hiring of Martin that energized your posting volume on this board. Since Martin was hired, you have made more than 18 pages of posts on this board in less than a year... including some of these great SLU related posts: March 16: Cuonzo has averaged 22 wins in his last 8 seasons  & Porter and Martin meeting in California;  March 15: Don't let your Mizzou hatred turn to Zo hatred. 
Contrast that to the prior year, the time Ford was hired until Martin was hired, you made a grand total of 8 posts. 
In Ford's first year on the job it was not "awful" - in fact a lot of great SLU news you could have been celebrating with the rest of us - several promising transfers coming in, and landing several high profile players from the area (remember, the guys you are supposedly are an advocate for) Goodwin, Gordon and Thatch - YET, not a word from you.  And my favorite, your first post after the Ford hiring... "Hiring a former Mizzou Tiger is definitely the way to go"
So yes, in your own words you "havent proven over the last 12 years to be a Billikens fan" 
You might be conning one of the mods, but you ain't fooling anybody else.
