I see a great draw for the Bills. Dodging Dayton is big as they seem to own the Bills. Wouldn't be surprised to get St. Joe's as our first game, and they are dangerous with their star back, but it will be their third game of the tournament, so that could help. I should be more concerned about St. B, but their lack of bench really worked against them in the first meeting. May well again. Then, beating VCU in the finals with VCU having Bones Hyland on the court will be the toughest test. Making the finals probably assures a bid, probably.

I think it's fantastic that he's returning, but I wouldn't count on a tier up in productivity. He has struggled, at times, when he was the focus of the opposing defense. He was roughed up and the officials didn't call it. Someone above mentioned strength and I hope that's true. For sure, I'm glad he's coming back and he definitely could improve.

Where’s French?

The refs weren’t with us, but they didn’t cause the 15-6 turnover margin with their one point guard playing the whole game with their best player injured. They didn’t have Jimerson take that open shot and miss either. I blame the Bills and whoever thought it was a good idea to burn the last timeout between free throws.

Why the timeout?

Tough to win when your big 3 are 2-14 from the field.

The Wiz's Post "Covid Rust" Forecast.

Slightly OT—Michigan had about three weeks off and, first game back, went to Wisconsin and won by 8. No rust for the Wolverines. Already a ranked #3, they don’t miss a beat. -
URI may have covered on a nothing three.

Do I need to go through my cable provider to get CBSSports Network? Spectrum wants to ding me an additional $30 per month to get to the tier that has CBSSports Network. I'd rather dodge that if possible. I have a ROKU, but I can't get access to the network via ROKU. I'm local. I don't mind shelling out some $$$, but the $30 per month is paltry compared to ESPN +. Thanks for any assistance offered.

Also, SLU should have known what Richmond’s protocols were before game day and made decisions accordingly. How it got the game got this close to being played shows a ton of mismanagement on . . .(pointing the finger at somebody(s)).
-
I’m a little peeved that there weren’t established protocols agreed to by both schools. I’m guessing that UR was operating under one sense of ‘safety’ and SLU operating under another. As they say in ‘Cool Hand Luke’—What we have here is a failure to communicate.

Jeff Neubauer fired as of today. Maybe that means Fordham will get serious about upgrading facilities or maybe not.

According to the NC State board, they're only bringing nine players, and which nine is not known by the posters on the board.

The first Duquesne game was the third? without GJ, so maybe rotations were still being figured out.

One recent game, I purposely got out of my seat as the first half buzzer sounded, got a 'good spot' in the concession line, then went to the bathroom, and got back to my seat as the second half was beginning, beating the throw in by about 10 seconds. So, maybe halftime isn't long enough, or the concessionaires could step up their staffing. Regarding getting people to their seats, unless it's a full time out, people will still block your view as the time difference between when the foul is called and play beginning doesn't allow people to get to their seats.

Georgetown has three players told to stay away from a student surrounding a theft that the police closed without charges being filed. -
A guy, forget the name, on 590 had a couple of minutes on it about 12:45 this afternoon. The SLU Title IX co-ordinator, forget the name, has the case. She's also the interim Title IX co-ordinator for Baylor and it was speculated that too much was on her plate to give this swift attention to this matter. So this will push into January. All of this per the guy speaking.

I have few avenues to net me over 100MM. The Frisbee has already been invented, as has the internal combustion and a drug that helps with erectile dysfunction. So, knowing it's an irrational choice, but also knowing that getting to 100MM isn't going to happen without it, I took the $10 plunge.

They won a game in the A-10 tourney as well. Surprising. I hope, for their sake, they have someone in mind who wants the job.

Sentiment still worthy. -
The athletic departments are profitable and subsidized. Maybe the subsidy is moot, as they get it, but it is still worth noting that most athletic can't stand on their own. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/2013/05/07/ncaa-finances-subsidies/2142443/

Sir B joined to make that comment. It is a good one, though.
