I gotta say I'm pretty disappointed with how picky some of our most hardcore fans are being in regard to site location. That be awful if we have an embarrassingly small turnout for our first tourney appearance in 12 years. Not showing up would show the country slu really doesn't care about having a big time program. These kids have busted their asses all year and deserve the support! Let's spend the money for a plane ticket if necessary!!

We should be rooting for X and St Joes to win every game. They are within striking distance of top 50 status. Top 50 wins is the only reason the committee could use to screw us on seeding (assuming the bills hold up their end of the bargain). This will probably be the difference between a really nice 6 seed or a crappy 9 seed.

Is this your same source that had Jett transferring and us going 7-9 in the conference this year?

This has to be the stupidest op in awhile. We won 11 games last year and have gained one player, who himself hasn't gone above and beyond expectations, and now are on track to make the tournament for the first time in over 10 years. Have players improved? In the words of the great Ace Ventura, "gee, let me think...."

There won't be a logjam at 12-4. Every except Dayton already has at least 2 losses. 12-4 would likely win the league, at worst, 2 seed in ac.

probably deserved of top 50 talk?? I think I'm somewhere in the middle. We are definitely deserved of top 50 talk, but not sold on elite until we win some close, tough games. Top 35 for me.

My money wouldn't be on umass and lasalle in the top 3 either. I think one thing that the projections show that I agree with is that the top 6 teams in the league will probably be tightly bunched. This is why it's so important for the bills to be on the rightside of the cluster. A win at X makes up for the temple loss IMO and puts us back on track to where we want to be.

Realtimerpi currently projects umass to win the league at 11-5. Slu and lasalle at 10-6, with lasalle winning the head to head game.

MB, I don't think you understand. Wiz's line is not a betting line. I took SJU and the points on a betting line, which was 6. Once I heard you touting X I knew I should go for the hawk.

Because a fence deters people on slu's campus from supporting the surrounding neighborhood...riiiiiiggghhtt. I think some on here are getting midtown stl confused with midtown manhattan. This isn't exactly prime real estate we're talking about. The building by the rallys has been for sale for about 2 years now.

It is an eyesore and the city should be happy slu is willing to invest in the area. Tear it down and build something useful. Things like this are why many parts of stl were suitable for the filming of escape from new york.

I would be very, very nervous with a 23-7 record. With our remaining schedule, I believe our 6 toughest games will be @unm, @ud, @x, @umass, @sju, and x. We should be able to win 3 of those 6. 4-5 losses total would be a lock, 6 would be questionable, and 7 would be nit in my view. If we have no surprise bad losses, I think we have a good margin for error in our 6 toughest games regardless of what udub and nova turn out to be.
