  1. Box and Won - thank you so much for posting the RickMa video. I have been in a three day manic depression but, after watching the video it snapped me out of it Yeppie !!! The weather is turning bad - good possibility your team will be spending another night in the Big " O ". That's not so bad, They are getting plenty of food ( Mu Shu muskrat and the roasted raccoon is just yummy ) and the new wigwam is toastie warm. See you Billikens in Pittsburgh
  2. Read this from the Olean Times Herald and THEN you make your decision on the VCU game. http://www.oleantimesherald.com/sports/bona-men-s-basketball-students-not-at-fault-for-costly/article_c3890f40-ec16-11e6-9c9b-9f29781f3497.html
  3. Ya, ok the Bonnies won but, ya gotta like the second half play the Billikens had. And wow what a group of talent coming in next season for the Bills. As always nice to hear from my SLU friends. See you in Olean - no Polar Vortex this year - thank God for climate change! Make America Great again beat Dayton
  4. As always I come in Peace. Nice win over GM ! The B plus grade is ok. The Bonnies are without St Louis native Courtney Stockard again this season - he broke the same ankle as last year as the season started. Also, 'Cuse transfer Chino Okobola. I wouldn't doubt that Jay Adams will not play - ankle sprain. It will be a Coach's game time decision. I think he's looking for Sophmore Nelson Kaputo to get game time play. The Bonnies are sneaky good. Mobley is a 3 machine, Taqee is the glue guy, Freshman Ayeni is the real deal if he doesn't get in to early foul trouble. Denzel Gregg is a pro in training. They have the best bench strength in years even though they play sparringly. The Billikens can't let the game get out of hand early, they can't foul or it's game over by the end of the first half. And if Adams does play you will be watching one of the best guards in the country! Make America Great Again - Beat Dayton!
  5. OUCH! And you call us " the Welders " Ya, it stings doesn't, feels just like someone slugged you in the gut or rubbed salt into the wound. Give five years or so.... Go Billikens Beat Dayton
  6. St Louis native and St. Bonaventure junior forward Courtney Stockard will miss the 2016-17 season due to a foot injury. Stockard underwent surgery Monday on his right foot. The injury is similar to the one which caused him to miss all of last season. "Everyone in our program feels terribly for Courtney," said St. Bonaventure coach Mark Schmidt. "He had worked very hard to come back from last year's injury, and I know he will again this time. We'll support him in every way we can." A 6-6 forward from St. Louis, Stockard spent two seasons at Allen (Kansas) Community College prior to enrolling at St. Bonaventure. Stockard averaged 23.2 points per game for Allen in 2014-15. After missing all of last season, 20 minutes into their first practice of the new year he breaks the same foot and the same bone as he did last year. He had a great off-season and even played on a traveling team that went to Europe. This is a HUGH disappointment for Stockard and the entire Bonaventure Nation Both the Billikens and the Bonnies will now battle it out for last place in the A10. Go Billikens Beat Dayton
  7. Welcome to the Reilly Center - can't wait for his first Amish Taxi ride ALLLLL the way down from Buffalo Airport. That's if the plane can land in the blinding snow storm with 4 feet of snow already on the ground and a wind chill of minus 5 below.
  8. Taj79 -- and not only case of Genny Cream but, I'll up that to a case of beer from the Four Mile Brewery -- the Southern Tiers finest Micro Brewery -- and a bottle of the best from Little Chicago Distillery. Olean's nickname was called Lit'l Chicago back in its hay days. Even Cappone had a place here! To the Moderator -- just little good nature ribbing!
  9. Always nice to have the Billikens playing at the Rielly Center - just hope it's in mid-February ! After all the crying you guys did last season, thought for sure you would have changed Conferences. The Mid-American or the Horizon League just might be a better fit. Yea maybe in five or six years you'll be back to a winning season - - - maybe.
  10. One of my favorite posters on the Billiken board has to be JohnnyJumpUp !!!
  11. I want to thank all of the Billiken fans for your support. I knew that, when the Bonnies lost to Davidson, it was the straw that broke the camels back. No excuses but, something happened to our guard Jaylen Adams - he is the key that starts the engine - as of yet, it has been hushed up. BUT,,, The lost Davidson may have been divine intervention for Coach Schmidt. Because of loss he was able to attend the New York State Class B Championship game in which Olean ( 27-0 ) played and both of his sons play for OHS. Not only did Olean win the game but, Coach Schmidt's son was name MVP. Deep down in my heart I wanted the Bonnies to win the A-10 but, for a man to be there and watch his boys like that I'll make the trade off! NOW, its up to the Bonnies to win it all and become the 2016 NIT Champs. PS just to make matters worst, the President of St Bonaventure, Sr. Margret has be diagnosed with Blood cancer and is resigning. May the Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of us.
  12. Head Coach Jason Gee of the Longwood University Lancers. Assistant Coach Anthony ( the little Weasel ) Solomon of Notre Dame. Head Coach Jim Baron of Canisus
  13. Thanks ACE for re-posting the picture of A-10 Coach of the Year Mark Schmidt! Very thoughtful and kind of you to do that! And yes, I, along with millions of other Bonaventure Braves will " enjoy it while we can ". Because as we all know it might be over before the stroke of Midnight. Also ACE, Coach already has a rap sheet, he got caught going 35 in a 30 MPH zone in Allegeny!!! Ouch those $ 43.00 traffic tickets really hurt. Go Billikens - beat George Mason!!!
  14. Atlantic 10 MBB ‏@A10MBB 4h 4 hours ago Picked 8th in the preseason, @BonniesMBB finished as Co-Champs - Mark Schmidt, the 2016 #A10MBB Coach of the Year. The Coaches theme is and has been " we need to keep on chopping wood "! Life is just a little bit different out here... Go Bonnies And by the way the Bonnies Dion Wright should have been on the Third Team All-Conferance.
  15. Weggie had a strong game! See you in NYC. Free Jim Crews
  16. Billikens write up in review. See what you think and see if you agree http://thebonablog.com/2016/03/04/recon-st-louis-saturday-8-pm/ Go Bonnies
  17. Thought I would post this. The Bonnies realize the importance of this game and the small contingent of fans will do their best to cheer them on. http://bonabandwagon.proboards.com/thread/14082/st-louis-matchup Go Bonnies
  18. Go Billkens - beat that no Good for nothing stinking rotten wing flapping chicken! And taj79, the Bonnies play SJU on a neutral court in Rochester, NY - not at the Riely Center where it should have been played.
  19. Over on the bonniebandwagon there is a video of jaylen Adams shot. Looked as if the Billikens defense was in good position and trying not to foul Posley driving the lane. The shovel pass to Adams, with the Billikens defender on him, was just a tough play. And contrary to the Post write up "the students" did not rush the court. Ya maybe 25 went on but that was it. Timmerman is a much better reporter See you guys at the end of the season! Good Luck, go Billikens beat Dayton!
  20. It's all good "chosen one" I know your a good guy! Thx
  21. And you guys want to fire Crews???? Your young Billikens played a great game and the Bonnies almost got caught in the trap. You guys have a good team. Reggie had family here, really nice folks, wish he would have come to Bonas. As for the "the chosen one" ha ha beat ya, blah blah blah... Your comments will be hung up on the locker room wall - see ya, wouldn't want to be ya - Gomer. Go Billkens beat Dayton
  22. Box thanks for posting the video - ya gotta admit it is funny! The Billikens have been enjoying the spring type weather here in Otterville. They are feeding them well and will be rested up for the game. Coach Crews and his staff have scouted the Bonnies and have your young team ready for the Reily Center rowdies! Bonnie fans threw out the world have been waiting for the game. There is just something about us underdogs that wait for games lke this. Besides Canisus and Niagara your team is the rival game we can't wait for! Reason being? You always have such good teams! Go Billikens, beat Dayton and VCU and that St Joes
  23. This will be a tough game for your Billikens. The Bonnies are on a roll. Wiz, thebonablog .com is looking a Billikens fan to review your team. You do a good job - they're great guys and the Bonnie fans would enjoy your opinion. As for SBU beating the HATED HAWKS, they were up by 17 with 3 1/2 minutes to go! SJU is an NCAA tournament type team. The Amish taxis will be meeting your team for the trip to the Heart of the Enchanted Mountain!!! But, I feel the best game vs SLU will be when the Ladies play on Wednesday Feb 10. Go Bonnies
