That is not what I am saying at all. All that I am saying is that Mizzou fans really don't care if they play SLU or not. If a Mizzou season ticket holder or any fan for that matter is presented with the option of playing Missouri State, SLU, or Arkansas vs. Tennessee-Martin, Texas-Pan American, or Savannah State obviously they would take the former, but amongst that group I don't think they would care a whole lot if it was SLU or Missouri State or Arkansas.

The Post is a great place to watch games and even better (as posted above) is run by a SLU grad. I spent about twelve hours there watching games last Friday.

I never said that I do not think this series would be valuable for both programs. I was just saying that Mizzou fans really do not care whether or not they play a series with SLU. Now that we know the terms straight from Majerus (so you cannot say they are ignoring our phone calls, their terms are what they are), we either accept the deal or don't accept it. Mizzou has the upper hand and can throw out terms like this and if SLU says no and the series does not happen Mizzou fans are not going to be overly concerned if at all about the game not happening. We have already seen that this series can be extremely successful and there is not doubt in mind it would be just as successful in the future, but I have never argued otherwise.

That would be awesome to potentially get games against St. Mary's and Texas in the nonconference. Does anyone have a link to information on this tournament?

I did not say that Mizzou fans would not attend a game between SLU and Mizzou in St. Louis or that SLU fans would not travel up to Columbia for a Mizzou/SLU game up there, I was saying that Mizzou fans currently could care less whether or not they play SLU every year and I guarantee that you will not find many Mizzou fans who have a strong opinion of SLU good or bad. I am sure most Mizzou fans not living in St. Louis would just assume play an in state school like Missouri State or another bordering state school like Iowa or Arkansas as SLU. Your points about the scheduling are all valid, but my original post is simply that Mizzou fans do not have remotely the same desire to play SLU as SLU fans do.

I doubt Mizzou coaches, players, fans, and alumni really care if they play SLU, so if we really want this game to happen and they will do a 2 for 1 I say we take it or quit talking about wanting this game and how Mizzou is avoiding us. Now that we know the terms we either decide it is worth it and lobby the AD to accept this offer or say Mizzou is big timing us and we cannot accept this series weighted in their favor and we let is go unless they come to us in the future with more equal terms.

I always heard this is what Mizzou was looking for when Sodie was aroud, but this confirms that it is still the case. I guess my question is if Coach Majerus and the U really want this game why not take them up on the 2 for 1 offer? Man I would love to see this game over the next couple of seasons.

I don't know about that. I do find it hard to imagine this team with a year under its belt not being in the NCAA Tournament. I would be disappointed if our name is not called a little less than a year from now on Selection Sunday. I can't wait for next season.

Yeah, it happened late in the 2nd OT. I tried going back to watch the computer slam and it took me forever to find it because I thought it happened towards the end of regulation, but it is with a couple of minutes left in the second OT.

Quick update, things are really heating up: Robert Morris up 41-34 on Nova with 11 minutes remaining BYU up on Florida 68-65 with 4 minutes remaining ODU is up on Notre Dame 48-46 with 1 minute remaining

The early games are looking interesting with: Robert Morris up 28-22 on Nova at the half BYU up on Florida 51-46 with 12 minutes remaining Notre Dame in a battle with Old Dominion up 39-35 with 9:45 remaining

How does that work? I know for Mizzou's current football recruiting class they signed more kids than they have sholarships available. It was reported that we offered him a scholarship, so wouldn't that mean he can accept at any time regardless of numbers?

He did. He stayed around during the transition and Rick's first season before moving onto Green Bay. I know Cardinal Ritter standout Terry Evans was a starter for them last season and had a nice career there.
