  1. They do,beginning the first day that a student athlete is on campus. It's an ongoing program throughout an athlete's time on campus.
  2. The best actually happened first day of classes this semester. One of the three, that has been denied attending the games for fear of contact with one of the females, shows up for class and she's there. The school pisses away money on off campus housing, and guards when the players are on campus, doesn't have enough sense to make sure they're not enrolled in the same classes. Excellent work Dr. P
  3. If you do, please ask them to step forward and set the record straight. That may be the only possible solution to our situation.
  4. I believe the issue is not the police, but rather the St. Louis city prosecuting attorney. Most people who know her tell me that she’s a total fool. Apparently, over half her staff has resigned.
  5. Does anyone know what they are being punished for? Sexual assault, posting a video, sex on campus, group sex? seems like the Title IX should be limited to sexual assault. All of the others are school policies and people other than Kratky’s could be on the panel. Save us Kent Porterfield.
  6. Our only hope for D-1 survival is Coach Ford staying. Then, maybe Bess and Foreman don't transfer, and the 3 recruits stay commmited. He's a great recruiter, and proven he's a solid game coach Those of us who bleed Billikens Blue, can't jump ship, no matter how much we detest Pestello. COACH PLEASE DON'T LEAVE!! YOU ARE ONLY HOPE.
  7. The real question is will they ever be playing in a Billiken uniform?
  8. You young guys are totally screwed. I heard the results of a survey of millennial age women and 33% of them thought a compliment towards their appearance was sexual harassment. So, don't say things like, I like your hair, that's a pretty dress, you look very nice today. This world is totally screwed up. Thank you Washington and academia.
  9. I think the A-10 and NCAA are having meetings in Indy that some of our folks are attending.
  10. Let me start by saying that I can't believe the hearing officer didn't make her determination before she left for Christmas break. In my opinion, a total lack of respect for all of our students involved. Further,, I don't understand how our President allowed this to happen. I don't agree with all of the criticisms of him on the Board, but he should have put his foot down and insisted on an initial decision before leaving for Christmas. I have no inside information, but it's not this simple. There are numerous exhibits to the report, I've heard close to 400. If one interview of someone at the party says that one of the girl's was drunk and another says she was sober, and knew what she was doing, who do you believe? I don't know how many people were at this party, but they each could have interpreted what they saw differently. A video may show the alleged victims, and one person may think they are drunk, another person may not. There is a ton of gray in this. Add, aggressive lawyers and a hearing officer who may have her own biases, and this becomes a mess. I'm really hopeful that this is over in the next couple of days. Assuming the initial decision has been communicated, it will take about a week to get through the appeal process, as I understand it. Anyone know who is on the Appeal Panel? In the end, seems like that group is the one that will decide this. Really hard being a Billiken Fan.
  11. What happens if we stay in the A-10 for basketball, and everything else moves to a more local conference. I’m not talking the Valley, I mean a new conference of schools like Bradley, Loyola, Belmont who are in the same boat and need to control expenses?
  12. I'm curious, since you think this should have been concluded in 2-3 weeks, how many people were interviewed? Do you know what the circumstances were when the kids hooked up? I've heard rumor that it was at a big party. Do you think the people at the party may have been interviewed? If it was a large party, that may have been many interviews. I've had plenty of final reports from attorneys. Each one has a tab for each exhibit. I'm guessing this report has many exhibits. Is there one report or is there three? I don't know, but I'd bet three. The truth is we don't know anything, so please keep your uninformed opinion to yourself. Stirring the pot doesn't help anyone. If you really feel that this should have been completed in 2-3 weeks, you haven't paid any attention to what's been going on in colleges all over the country. I too think this is dragging on way too long. From last week forward, I believe, is the responsibility of Pestello. I plan to write him and the Board of my displeasure. I encourage you, and everyone else, to do likewise.
  13. Has plays more than 30 minutes, we are pretty good. If he doesnt, we are very beatable. Not complicated.
  14. In games that Has doesn't get in foul trouble, we are very competitive. As soon as he sits, we become extremely beatable! Occam's Razor
  15. By allowing them to practice, if they are cleared, they’ll be ready to play right away. Also, having them on the road keeps them out of trouble.
  16. This is not in the hands of the Athletic Department. Never has been. Everyone must realize they’ve been silenced. Does amyone one really believe that the staff doesn’t want a full roster playing! Come on folks, you can’t be that blind. They live with these kids all day, every day. They care about them as people. They want to see them succeed. Whatever unhappiness each of us feel, I’m convinced they feel many times over.
  17. You’re mad when they don’t try things, mad when the try things. Enough already. Every knows how you feel about the athletic department.
