I think each school would have to set its own temporary limit (for those four years) based on the number of 2021 seniors returning for 2021-22. So, for the Billikens, if Perkins decided to return but French and Goodwin decided they're done with college, then SLU should have 14 scholarships to offer until 2024-2025. If all three were to return, then they should have 16 scholarships to offer during that time. Or if players transfer to another school (after this season), the school should be able to replace those scholarships, within their established four-year limit. (The reason I say five years could be possible for this exceptional period is that some players may redshirt.) If none of the seniors chooses to return, then the school must stick with 13 scholarships. Now, that might present a problem down the line if several members of lower classes were to take advantage of the extra year. Should the four-year limit be based on the number of players in a fifth year?

I think the limit has to "float" until the last of the players eligible for the "free" year of eligibility are done — four or five years. Otherwise, at some point there won't be enough scholarships available for much of a graduating class.

I believe Fletcher is more of a wing forward, so the players in front of him at SLU would be Jacobs, Thatch, Jimerson, Hargrove, and Strickland. (Those players might be part of what made Nesbitt opt for another school.) -
Soderberg landed at Lindenwood after Biondi jettisoned him (over Levick's objections).

If that were true, then wouldn't they have lost a lot more votes than they did? -
Some of that post was just so much gimmerish!

I'm not saying that it will take until February for the Bills to earn a spot in the Top 25 if they keep winning. I'm saying that they can't afford to lose before February if they want to hold their place in the rankings.
-
True, but the Bills can't lose any games before February, as far as being ranked is concerned.

I thought it was a reasonable possibility. So much for that. But I do believe they should lose no more than three all of the regular season.

Billikens.com Server Problems

I didn't notice anything egregious. However, I was watching the stream more and posting less. -
I think he showed a nose for the ball and an ability to get second-chance points. Yeah, I think his game can emulate J-Good's game.

Needed more Linssen — but with more taking it to the defenders' chests. Then again, the officiating wasn't going to allow anything the Bills tried to be successful. The Big 10 dictated that the conference wasn't going to lose this one.

I applaud them for scheduling a road game at Minnesota, but it's unfortunate that it must be the first road game of the season.

I smell a Billiken run/outburst coming.

He flopped! Jacobs isn't THAT strong!
-
Definitely. Perkins got hit on that 3-point attempt; I guess if they don't knock his arm completely off, there's no foul against the yellow jerseys.
-
Need some more intensity on defense.
