  2. A six-figure salary and a job. also, Mo was pretty good at DePaul way back in the day. bad boyz for life
  3. Some pretty good family pedigrees on that list. melvin robinson's kid has already been pointed out. Jordan Dressler is Mark Dressler's son, Phil Kunz is Phil Kunz's son, Sean Duff is former Billiken John Duff's nephew, Lonnie Boga's dad was a standout in JeffCo (windsor I believe) who played at jeffco with dwayne polk's dad and dale turner. Of course, there are some pretty good kids with talented older siblings, skyler suggs, ryan pierson, etc... bad boyz for life
  4. the kid from midland probably got his release from his letter because of the coaching change. He signed early when giancletti was head coach. bad boyz for life

  8. for the record, femi john was the second best player on McCluer North's team, not the third. SLU would not be settling if he were to commit. If that is what you think, you need to get that thought of your head right now. He averaged close to 16 points a game and he enjoyed his share of huge performances during the year. His best game came in the quarterfinals against Webster Groves when he scored 25 points in an overtime victory. As it turned out, that was the state championship game right there at UMSL. femi has excellent potential. He is still 16 years old and one year behind his graduating class. These are the type of players that slu has passed on for eons and paid a heavy price. Our last coach paid the ultimate price for such mistakes, his job. Not only does he have size, athleticism and a lot of potential. He happens to be a WINNER! He helped his team take the cheese last year. I heard he is also an straight A student. That doesn't such either. After his two buddies committed to SIU, coaches from Mizzou, Illinois and Purdue were still showing up at McCluer North games. Since Torres and Anthony had already committed, there was only one other player to see. Who could that be? bad boyz for life
  9. word on the street is that femi john will be on campus tommorrow to meet with the new staff. bad boyz for life
  10. Lies, Lies, Lies, yeah. They're gonna get you. Lies, Lies, Lies, yeah. they don't forget you. That's my favorite Bad boyz for life
  11. If bryce becomes a viable option at the 5 on a consistent basis, we will really be in the mix. keep your fingers crossed. I would love to see one of those aaron gray type revelations, like we saw from him in 2006. we have to get something positive from him. bad boyz for life
  12. word on the street is that a couple of the coaches are mad anyway because jamal walker wasn't kept on the staff. those are probably the ones who are "unimpressed." They would have been "unimpressed" with Coach K. and Billy Donovan under those circumstances. bad boyz for life
  13. the recruit was brett thompson and the staff knew that he was on campus. thompson does not play for gateway. he plays for the illinois warriors. bad boyz for life
  14. brett thompson was on campus yesturday. bad boyz for life
  15. kevin's overall floor game improved a great deal from his freshman to his sophomore year. look at his assist to turnover ratio from both seasons and the number of assists he had. bad boyz for life
  16. no comparison between eberhardt and VN. bad boyz for life
  17. Grieskenas signing with wichita state was a package deal. marshall hired as assistant coach, from liberty's old staff, who was once an assistant at TRCC. they knew each other from Marshall being at winthrop and baccone (sp?) being at liberty. that's the deal. bad boyz for life
  18. we missed you in atlantic city bonnie boy. you need more than one lucky night to get into the conference tournament. bad boyz for life
  19. I read in gordon's column that a-10 commissioner linda bruno was at the press conference. that's gotta speak volumes. how often do you see a league commissioner flying across the country to attend a press conference for the hiring of a new coach? Interesting. bad boyz for life
  20. It was fesco. are you trying to start trouble. bad boyz for life
  21. can't complain too much about the non-conference schedule at home. IN the past five years, I've sat down with my nachos and go to watch North Carolina, Arizona, Iowa (twice), Gonzaga, Southern Illinois (twice), Missouri state, Wisconsin-Milwaukee (a sweet 16 team), minnesota, ole miss and a few others. that's not bad for a mid-major. many schools at our level would kill to have those teams at home. I suspect that will continue with a little more television flavor, hopefully bad boyz for life
  22. Moser probably made the classic coaching move of the season against indiana state in the mvc tournament. one of his guards hit a 3-pointer to put Isu up by 12 points to culminate a 10-0 run or something like that. you could see the indiana players' shoulders slump. they were getting ready to mail in the rest of the game. they tried hard, but they were ready to accept defeat for about the 10th time in a row and finish the season. for some inexplicable reason, moser jumps up and calls a time-out. Logic dictates that royce waltman should have called the T.O, but it was moser, who was the one who called the t.o. and pretty much put a stop to his own team's run. Indiana state was able to regroup and they came back and won the game. It was stunning. I bet the illinois state poo-bahs were ready to have the press conference right there are center court at the scottrade center to fire his dumb a** for pulling that bonehead move. bad boyz for life
  23. word on the street is that he may also hire dan hipsher, formally of akron, arkansas and currently at south florida. bad boyz for life
  24. water under the bridge now, but eberhardt and grieskas were coming to slu. maybe, still a possibility with the new coach, but who knows. notice that neither one of them have committed, yet, while alexander and peterson did. bad boyz for life
  25. Good news. The Beaver likes to hear good news. bad boyz for life
