Edwin scored 13 points for Kent State the other night. Apparently, he is capable of scoring either 13 points or 0 points. So far this year, his scoring has been: Game 1: 13 pts Game 2: 0 pts Game 3: 0 pts Game 4: 13 pts He didn't get many minutes in his two zero point games, so either he's been hurt or in the coach's dog house.

For the students out there: do you have any guesses as to how many students did not make it to the game because of the lack of transportation? There was a pretty good student turnout nonetheless. It would be nice to get that many students for games that aren't nationally televised. And for everyone: to what do you attribute the relatively small crowd? There really isn't any reason I can think of besides the fact that the university did not market the game at all. In the past we have advertised big matchups against Louisville, Mizzou, etc., but I don't recall seeing any efforts to build hype for the Arizona game.

I'm still po'ed about getting snubbed by Bud Sports my senior year! I found it interesting to hear that Illini receiver Brandon Lloyd was working at Fox Sports last year. It's a little disappointing to hear how a guy who was about to get drafted into the NFL was working at an internship that could have been filled by a student who was actually serious about working in broadcasting.

I think the players are able to get hooked up with some pretty good internships during the summers. Phil Hunt has been working in the broadcast booth at Cardinals games for KMOX (Mike Shannon frequently mentioned him), and over the years players have worked for great local companies such as A-B and A.G. Edwards. With the fairly large number of successful corporations in the St. Louis area (many of which provide a good deal of support to SLU), procuring internships for players isn't difficult.

I think Donigan said on the radio this morning that we'll play at Maryland.

Brandon Morris scored 16 pts with 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block and 0 turnovers in UWGB's loss to IUPUI last night. He had 7 pts, 1 reb, 1 assist and 4 turnovers in their loss to SEMO the other day. Jason Edwin had 13 pts, 3 reb and 3 assists in Kent State's opener.

Does JJ chew gum while he's playing? I noticed that it looked like he was chewing on something while he was out there, which seemed strange to me.
