Even with all the attention we get from Frank on his 10:00 a.m. show on 590, that is the last station we should want carrying our games. You can't even pick up their weak signal in many parts of south and west county.

I don't know how we can lose 3 more games, when all of our remaining games are A 10 opponents, given the NET of A 10 teams. We would have no, as in zero, signature wins. That doesn't get you into the NCAA. Our only hope is the Conf. Tournament. Getting an at large bid with 3 A 10 losses would mean we have 7 losses plus one in the Conf Tour. , 8 losses with no big win to hang our hat on. that ain't gonna do it.

It's hard to figure how the Bonnies can become a Q1 win for us. For that to happen, wouldn't they have to be much higher than they are now in the NET? How are they going to make any significant headway in NET while playing an A 10 Conference schedule with where all the A 10 teams are ranked so low today. Look at what happened to us. We beat Richmond and drop 2 places in the NET, going from 69 to 71.

I know what if's don't matter but it would sure be nice to have gotten W's against Belmont and UAB, both of which could have very easily happened. Who knows, maybe with JP we would have added a W against Auburn.

The silence on all these postponements, which team is not able to play and any other possible info material to the postponement, is deafening! It's not like we are dealing with secrets of national security. If we go on a road trip and leave 3 players behind, it's pretty obvious who and why they are not on the travel squad-same with not suiting up for home games. Which team is using Covid as the reason to cancel the game?

Why? We have zero chance of getting an at-large bid so any schedule changes will be meaningless as far as getting into the NCAA. Our one and only shot is to win the A 10 tournament. I don't even think that running the table in our A 10 regular season, but losing in the league tourney will get us in.

I'm glad you feel so positive about the game. I have thought that it would be our toughest game in our run of 6 difficult OOC games. Clearly, I don't have your knowledge of this, but I still will be pleasantly surprised if we stay within 8-10 of them, and blown away if we can pull off a win. With our 3 recruits coming in next year, all being in the SG/SF (#2 & #3), I would be shocked to see MS stick around. Also, the only thing holding Williams back from leaving is that he would likely not be approved for a waiver again, after getting one this year. This could go into a number of recent threads and it applies to any number of games over the past couple of years, and specifically the most recent three games, so I think it is appropriate here. I am a TF fan and think he is the right man for the HC job, but I also think he needs to seriously take a look at our closing out of games. Since it seems like we have that problem no matter which players are on the court, I suggest that it is a coaching issue that he and his staff need to be spending many hours on figuring out how to correct it. Players come and go, opponents come and go, but there has been one constant as we continue to give up large leads, and that constant is the system/style of play that the coaching staff has been using. It looks like the players took their recent sloppy play into their own hands with the players only meeting, likely led by Yuri. Now it is time for some serious soul searching on the part of the HC and his staff. the "end of the game" problem is the staff's issue and they need to identify the problem and fix it.

Skip, I like your thought about enlarging the goal. Another suggestion would be to take the hockey approach. Play 1 15 minute OT period with 9 players, and a 2nd with 8 players. That would really open up the field for up to 30 minutes, and I think would normally produce a golden goal. Still tied, then go to sudden death PK's.

I agree with you on the getting yanked point. That takes me back to Rich Grawer. Make a mistake and you are out of there. Players can't play their best games if they are constantly looking over their shoulders to se if the coach has a player up to replace them
