  1. A check will be in the mail tomorrow. Congrats to Alyssa. She is outstanding and your family is an outstanding part of the Billiken family.
  2. The heat is getting very hot on him and he suddently got sick. I think he will be gone soon and if what the kids say is true and due to the blantant overpracticing after having been in trouble for that once, he should he gone. This may be similar to the Clark situation but don't see any similarity with the Majerus case.
  3. There is an unconfirmed rumor on xavierhoops that Myles Davis and Jalen Reynolds will not be eligible. If so it could be a tough year for X. Something they are not used to.
  4. Isn't she in a position of authority? Is concensual non-marital sex permitted on Xaview campus?
  5. My understanding is that she gave consent contingent on the use of a condom. But he did not put one on. I agree on the SLU fans judging others. These are young people with raging hormones. Many make mistakes that they later regret. The woman involved was apparently an RA. Did she get punished?
  6. And my point was that you would have been better off saying "Winning programs are not built..." You wasted words and did what you said you would not do. I understand your point and agree with it. Although one year out of 6 under these circumstances does not mean that SLU is signing kids only in the spring.
  7. You could have left off the "Not to mention that." because you did mention that. I know you are a freshman and we all have a lot to learn but had to say it.
  8. Then it must be very grave as we have assumed. Sad and disapointed but not surprised. Hope the best for Rick. The Billikens will be fine.
  9. I would think his girlfriend would be with him. Just an assumption.
  10. It seems apparent that the kids love the big guy and he loves them. They will be highly motivated to have a very successful season and I think they will. If he gets a transplant I suppose it is not out of the realm of possibility that he could return. I know his situation is very severe but I had bypass 13 years ago and am doing pretty darn good for an old guy. Modern medicine does some incredible things. I know he has his querks but the man is a genius and has accomplished what I have thought may be an impossible task--bringing the Billikens back to the top. Folks, we are very close. And we have to find ways to build on this, no matter what happens. I believe we will.
  11. I agree Willie. I tolerate it but much of the time his posts are inappropriate and way over the line. He fails to consider who may be on this board.
  12. No score at halftime in exhibition game against Akron. Billikens have 5 shots to Akron's 2. Very good test for the Bills.
  13. You obviously do not know what you are talking about or you are stretching the truth for a reason. How is Evans doing in school? How is Grandy doing? No doubt there may be one or more who find the SLU academic rigors more difficult but to say that all but Brian and Kyle are not good students is clearly not correct.
  14. The Post Dispatch appears to be slowly going down the tubes. They obviously don't need the support of Billiken fans. I used to read the paper every day. Now I only go to the SLU page and now I probably won't even do that. I noticed this also today and didn't like it at all especially now that we actually are deserving of more attention. Tells you what the paper thinks of SLU athletics.
  15. I went to Boys State at Central Missouri State, probably about 1963 or l964. Highlight was I broke my toe on a concrete step in the middle of the night for a fire drill.
  16. Billikens win again today. Beat Charlotte 6-4. They are really playing well.
  17. Give Chris May credit. A lot to be determined but I think he has made some very good hires.
  18. I realize we all worry that health or some other reason will take Majerus away from us. Without him we are not where we are nor where we reasonably can expect to be in the next few years. I think he will be here as long as his health permits and as long as he is enjoying his experience. He obviously likes St. Louis and Saint Louis University and he really likes his team. I really don't worry much about him leaving because of dissatisfaction because he has had more than one opportunity to leave, more than likely for more money, maybe a lot more money. Maybe I am wrong but I give a lot more credit to Biondi, May, and Chaifetz than many of you do. These are smart and capable men. They all have to relish the success we have had. And want more.
