Alas! I've been forced into IE because my company won't spring to upgrade from Win 95. You need at least 98 to run a current version of netscape. I thank you for supporing the earlier versions till now but it's no longer needed for me.

Deiner was in at the end of the games because we were often down by large margins and if a play could be develope to spring him WIDE open he could often drain a three. He was a very limited player on offense and defense. If he didn't dissappoint you, your standards can't be very high. Good riddence.

I've been to see the Lady Bills and they're playing hard and well but I'm still a sexist pig Roy. I just can't go out of my way to see a substandard game. I'm all for the ladys playing ball but let them compete to play the real game. Equality can only be acheived in that way. If they can't play with the boys I don't have much time for them. If we can upgrade the Valley with marquette and Memphis it makes regional sense. In conference strength it would appear to be a lateral move. It makes no sense for us to remain in the projected remains of CUSA.

I forgot about him. Still I would hope like heck that JJ, Husak, and any potential Brad redshirt recruits have more upside than Ryan. How many people remember the patented "Leuchtefeld Swipe" one handed rebound maneuver? It was guaranteed never to result in a rebound.

It's way too early to judge Brad but seeing last years team gel was nice. If Brad can turn JJ, Husak, and Frericks into decent players it'll be more then Lorenzo and Charlie were able to do. When was the last time we had a good redshirted player?

Speaking for the realist wing of Billikens.Com (or more likely just myself) Brad has earned little honeymoon period. I did'nt give him one to start with. He gets high marks from me for taking Marquee and a dozen role players to the NIT. Seeing a team get better and better as the year go on is something we haven't seen in a while. (Romar's teams seemed to stumble and bumble there way through. Don't tell me about the Memphis miracle. That team shouldn't have had to win the cusa tournament to see post season. The last year of Heinrich, Tatum, Baqniak et al was god-awful.) I have confidence in his recruiting after seeing Drejaj and IO. He doesn't get a free pass but I'll not call the season a loser without seeing the players. BTW: An allstar game is the most idiot thing in any sport. Lets take a team sport and make it all about the individual! I'd almost prefer Brad's players not do well in an "allstar" game. Guess what, MY FAVORITE ALL TIME BILLIKEN, DREW DEINER COULD PROBABLY DROP 100 POINTS AT AN ALL STAR GAME WHERE NOBODY PUT A HAND IN HIS FACE!

No one should ever say anything negative about the Billikens or someone might not want to come here. Give me a break. If I were Bruce Weber and wanted Mr. Litch or whomever, I wouldn't need Gordo's story to point out that CUSA sucks. All I'd have to ask is do you ever want to play on broadcast tv? Or would you rather have a home and home with Tulane or Indiana? We don't have a great conference to sell now. We lose any of the big four and CUSA is puppy chow. If Gordo didn't point it out believe me Bruce or someone else sure as hell would.

You could make a case for Kenny Brown in that regard too. If Frericks can acheive that distinction in his days as a Billiken I'll be DAMNED happy. DOES ANYONE REMEMBER WHEN DONNIE DOBBS WAS OUR FREAKING 6'2" CENTER???? Jamal Johnson was taller but not exactly Shaq. In my memory, Billiken big men have been few and far between and Heinrich was one of the best. Baniak was a disaster. Heinrich was a load! Hopefully Frericks has a nicer touch than Heinrich but this year we could really use a couple Heinrichs. Is IO going to defend down low? I think not. JJ? Nah. It damn well better be Frericks!
