  1. I believe this was Cheryl's baby. Right or wrong I believe she is a decision maker.
  2. Sorry but I know a few of the big time boosters and they were Brad backers.
  3. I obviously don't know if anybody is going to be run off, but I don't think Anderson is above going to a Dandridge and saying "Glen you are not in our plans,if you want playing time maybe you should look elsewhere."
  4. Jeff Gordon on his morning radio show said there is no way Missouri is through recruiting. They will ask either Glen Dandrich{sp} or Volkus to leave. Matt Lawrece could also give up his scholarship. He did say he thought Powell would not qualify.
  5. I believe he had a lot of personal issues that hurt performance and eventually forced him from school.
  6. Kids leave programs all the time. Recruit for today. Don't throw away a scholarship on a stiff, but if you can get a big sign him, and worry about next year-next year.
  7. I heard it was a very good visit. His mother lives in Springfield Mo. and would like him to go to SLU.
  8. I don't know if the story is correct, but if Lance took a 50k salary cut, what does that say about SLU? Lance was the bottom man on our coaching staff. Maybe it says that our budget is not as terrible as Roy would have us all believe. If your bottom guy is making 70-80k maybe were not totally operating on a shoe string.
  9. It blows my mind that some coaches actually defend the no foul. In all the games I've watched over the years I've never seen a team lose because they fouled. This is not intended to be a knock on Brad but I'm pretty sure he falls in the no foul camp. I just don't get it.
  10. My guess is that most take 4 classes per semester. They will also go to summer school to lessen the load. Yes they have help available.
  11. Yes obviously he was forced out but why don't you make them fire you? That way they have to buy you out. It's not like he couldn't always get a job. I guess he just got tired of the #####.
  12. I think with a few exceptions age plays a key role in whether posters want Brad to stay or go. Younger board people are not as patient and want immediate results. Older posters who can remember the really bad days of Billiken hoops say "it's not that bad lets give him some more time". Part of it is a generational thing. Instant gradification vs.slow and steady. We should all remember we are all Billiken fans who live and die over this stuff.{A few outside flamers excepted} While I support Brad and think he should be back, if CL fired him tonight I would support her and jump on the new coaches band wagon. I really don't think it's personal. The only coach I ever hated was Buddy Brehmer, yet I was a kid then.
  13. thanks. the number does not suprise me.
  14. I don't know but I wouldn't be surprised if Tubby is making close to a couple of million. He flirted with the NBA a few years ago .That always drives up the price of poker.
  15. I agree. If your stated goal is to make the NCAA's and you don't meet that goal you can't give yourself an A. I know this the era of grade inflation but I would have to give him something less. Even on TV he should have said our goal was to make the NCAA's,we didn't therefore I'll take a B. That would show that your not satisfied.
  16. Kramer will not be free. Brad has said that if he attends SLU he will be on scholarship. There are limitations for what walk ons can do so Brad would not put those limitations on Kramer. Since we never use all of our scholarships it rally doesn't make any difference.
  17. Harry Rodger was 6-7 in the early 70's. Played point guard on offense center on defense. Played a little in the ABA for the Spirits.
  18. When the final four was in St. Louis SLU was a co-host along with the MVC. Does anybody know why we aren't involved this time around?
  19. I agree with STLfan, you do nothing for a year.He has a contract and should be able to spin that to recruits. If after next year you haven't won on the court or in recruiting you would have to fire him. As Pdiddy said in the other post you can't be a lame duck, that last year. If he has a good year you can then extend him 2 or 3 years. What I really don't want as a fan is a so-so year on the court and in recruiting, where there is no clear cut answer. Come on Brad get it done.
  20. Monroe gets my vote. I need to get out my tape. "Sitting in on a Jam Session" and watch Douglas throw a couple down. Grawer ran a lot of back door lob plays for him.
  21. I would rather see a top 50 basketball program. That success can help you build a better university. The reverse is not true. Besides I don't buy season tickets to see research program.
  22. I agree Brad's contract is a dilemma. I don't know how you can currently give him a contract extension unless he would agree to a relatively modest buy out clause.
  23. I wouldn't bet against Missouri coming up with another scholarship or two.
