  1. Fine. Not what I would compare, but fine. It was your post, so you can do what you want.
  2. I guess you can do that but I’d think comparing Kent’s production from last season under Schertz with Anya’s is more meaningful. But I asked and you answered. Thanks. Anya should be a good fit. 27% 3FG has to improve. 50% FT puts you on the bench at crunch time.
  3. I am curious why you are comparing Anya's last two seasons with Kent's first two seasons. Last season Kent averaged 13.5 ppg and 8.1 rpg and hit 37% from the arc. I believe those Kent stats are from his years at Bradley?
  4. Didn't the photo come through for you? I know there are some gremlins in the system.
  5. He was a starter on a 22-11, NET 66 team in a competitive West Coast Conference. I don't see a down side here. But no he is not the rebounder nor rim protector I believe we still need.
  6. I liked him at Dayton. Mongolian Mike has SLU in final list. 36% three point shooter for the Dons.
  7. Holmes II (Dayton) as reported by Dave Jablonski, [Flyer beat writer for the Dayton Daily News] filed the required papers to enter the NBA draft. He has not announced anything publicly. Last year he waited until the final day to announce his plans. He is projected to be either a late pick in Round One or a Round Two pick. This is a weak draft, so I don't know why he wouldn't jump, unless Dayton gives him an NIL package he can't turn down. This spreadsheet, A10 Tab, is fairly accurate. [It still lists Williford as a Billiken, so there a few errors.] VCU still has a lot of work to do. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Pe72vFo9_Q2iJPpUhlrt7cZokev1cZtVmACpwJkMabU/edit#gid=625972474
  8. Yes that is the way it works. Grad transfers now have to be in by the closure date. That was not the case in the past.
  9. Using Verbal Commits Transfer listing as the source of this information, 1852 are in portal and 636 of those have committed. Portal window closes next week.
  10. I found that comment interesting. He isn’t going for a second masters. But he has to be enrolled in something to be eligible to play ball. I wonder why that entails….an hour online discussion course in pick and roll? Will @billiken_roybe upset that Gibson is not a 'full time student' ?
  11. Ha. That’s what auto correct does. (Went back and changed it - appreciate your comment.)
  12. https://www.scoopswithdannymac.com/gibson-jimerson-and-robbie-avila-the-kilcoyne-conversation/ FF to about 5 min for the start of the conversation with Jimerson. "It was like I transferred without transferring" Jimerson's comment on staying at SLU with a new coach and new system. Getting Bonner's point record is important to him. He knows Highmark, but not Clag or Bonner. He is focused on getting to the NCAA tourney. "That would be special." Proud of playing the best basketball at the end of this previous system, with everything that was happening. Last team talk with Ford was after the last A10 conference game. Wrapping up his master's program in Business Administration this month. He got this done in a year. Won't do anything more academically this coming season. Will focus on basketball. If there is an option professionally he will take it, but he isn't 'putting all his eggs into that basket.' Avila at 20 min. Obviously following Schertz, and his trust in Avila, was a huge factor. Was recruited by mid-majors out of high school, particularly Valley Schools. His final choice was between UNI and ISU. Awesome to continue playing with Swope. All 5 ISU starters had talked about staying together, but it didn't happen. "It's bigger than the money"...his comment on the portal. He knew he was following Schertz when he entered the portal. Likes the Champion's Center and Chaifetz being available. He hasn't met Dr. Chaifetz yet, even though he is a Chicago guy just like Avila. He has not met Larry Bird either. Thinks his game is similar to Jokic and Domantas Sabonis and Kevin Love. His Dad started coaching him on dribble, pass, and shoot early on. Goal is nothing short of an A10 championship. Excited to use his player profile with goggles as a platform for young players who need goggles. NIL for Goggle company is coming. Likes "Rob Way" and "SLU Alcindor" for nicknames. [South Side Chicago White Sox baseball fan.]
  13. Look at Schertz's other two years at ISU. It was different.
  14. And he ended up at 36%. It happens. If half our shots are from behind the arc, I'd like another proven shooter on the roster.
