Listener of the Streets (6/7)

  1. Maybe you can carry out your fantasy of "spanking" other gentlemen that you have expressed recently.
  2. I supported the coach? It was time for Ford to go and I said so. I simply called out some of the more extreme, ridiculous rewriting of history criticisms. It wasn't necessary. There was plenty of legit criticism to be had. I figured the powers that be would take care of it and that's exactly what happened. No need to get whipped into a frenzy with an impotent grassroots movement. It appears you are still stinging from theOne scolding you for suggesting Ahearn was the leading candidate back in February.
  3. Nah- we live in a society where money talks and bull**** walks.
  4. Yes, if there lis any NIL money left- go all in.
  5. Nah - May will want to be held in high regard first and foremost by Chaifetz - a distant second…the 2 or 3 other boosters who matter and 3rd the Prez
  6. There was some mutual interest when he hit the portal last year. In today's free agency world, it's important to establish relationships because even if you don't get a recruit the first time, you might get him down the road since players can easily hit the portal multiple times.
  7. Don't know - perhaps it was Tate, who has been giving them to Frank for years, but more importantly, he decided to take an interest in covering recruiting long before Schertz arrived.
  8. It has nothing to do with Ford. His evolution took place many years ago, Stu has written a lot of good pieces in recent years - a lot of people just don't pay attention to print. It seemed like just about every player on the roster would get a profile article throughout the season. In particular he has changed regarding social media and covering recruiting. He used to not do it at all in his first few years as beat writers. He changed 5-6 years ago and I think realized that's an important part of his job as a beat writer of a college team.
  9. My two cents is that if Doc Chaifetz wanted May gone - he'd be gone.
  10. Frank has usually been a good source of recruiting news because he's close with Tate. I used to be a big critic of Stu because he had no interest at all in covering recruiting in his early years as the beat writer - it was as if he didn't think it was part of his job. But to his credit, he has evolved and covered it a lot more in recent years.
  11. I never said he didn't - just that he doesn't really seem to fit Stu's descriptions. Also, don't assume that every payer that visits gets an offer on the spot. It makes sense to cast a wide net and kick the tires on a lot of players.
  12. I guess Roddie would fit the description of the defensive guard. I'm a little surprised about the backup for Avila - as I figured Craig could get a few mpg in that role, as well as time at the 4. I guess any high school kids would fit the description of a "wildcard" - a player you're not counting on, but perhaps exceeds expectations and grabs a role. Fletcher doesn't seem to fit the description of any of these types of players - although perhaps he could be considered a wildcard considering his injury history.
  13. I almost forgot where you advocated for SLU to hire the disgraced Arizona AD - thanks for the reminder That didn't come to "fruition" and Chris May is still in power. And advocating for Ford to be fired - wow, truly visionary. No one else had that idea. So thankful you led the charge You couldn't even get your billboard up! This was all about the big boys stepping up, which was no surprise. The adults took care of it. Meanwhile, the children were playing around with fantasies of "grassroots movements." You are desperately grasping to try to be relevant on this board, so you've resorted to trolling for attention. Pathetic, but on brand for you.
  14. Thanks for the shout out! You waving the white flag of surrender is worn by me as a badge of honor!
