Lobo
The current line has Miss as a 5 1/2 point favorite tomorrow night. I have this game (preseason prediction) as a Loss. However, if the Billikens play as they did against UNC it will be a win and a big one. This game has the potential of setting the emotional tone for the remaining games in 05. And we could begin conference play with a positive win/loss record. Hopefully the ole miss 'eye candy' won't distort their 'rim vision.' Go Bills! kshoe
100 times and take the Billikens and the points every time you will come out well ahead. Any one game you could lose but get it often enough and you could makes some money. That is a point spread based on an SEC team playing a team that won only 9 games last year. That is not a point spread based on what these two teams have done this season. Miss. is 4-2 but has lost to the only 2 "decent" teams they've played in New Mexico (by 53 points) and Illinois Chicago in OT. I expect to win this game and if I had a bookie my money would be where my mouth was.
Billikan
What about the spread posted by the Wiz that says we are 6 point favorites?
Billikan
I just went on to one of the major betting websites and they had Mississippi as a 3 1/2 point favorite. The home court is worth more than that so they must view this as a toss up game. It would be great if we could pull the upset!
Basketbill
beating Oakland on the road is expected, but beating a team from a good conference on the road is the next level up. If we beat them, it really looks like the UNC game was a turning point in the season.

cheeseman
Beating Oakland was not expected - expected is a little strong.
Slumn1
I believe Oakland is a better team than Mississippi.
Basketbill
Sorry while it was a road game, it was a game a potential NCAA tournament team should win. I understand it had its challenges, being on the road, in a small jim and three blind refs, but a win here is expected of a tournament team. Is SLU a NCAA tourney caliber team?? I realize it is early and there is a great deal of work to be done but I am starting to believe this team can be a tournament team.
billikenmetz
Ole Miss is in Oxford, Mississippi. Not to be confused with Oxford, England, where a prestigious university is located. If a sweet southern girl tells you she studied at Oxford, you can bet her sweet ass she is talking about the good Ole Miss. I hate Eli Manning. phillyreb
oh, my friend, don't be a hater. that's a LOSS for all of us! Hope StLouie has a safe trip down to Oxford MS, again, NOT to be confused with that small english school!! [just pickin OF COURSE] the students are off for CHRISTmas break, so the crowd will be thin, make that thinner than ususal for a team working on it's characature. so, home court in Oxford is usually worth ~6 points, but NOT @ this time or this year, or last either!. so 3.5 is HOPEFUL in OleMiss's case either way, all yall have a Merry CHRISTmas & Happy/Productive New Year! Have a Blessed day & enjoy listenen' to the game! phillyreb philadelphia MS, a place you've never heard of! oh, by the way, Eli & Peyton's Grandparents live here and own a Country Store that is OVER 100 YEARS OLD. take care ALL! shempie
I saw that Ole Miss is averaging only about 1800 a game for its 2 home games. Is that true and if so is there any atmosphere at all?
slu72
You hate Eli? Go Eli. Go Giants. Go Bills beat Ole' Miss. Hey Phillyreb what happened to your mascot the Plantation Owner?
