The Wiz
OK ...Let's try this again.... First let's take a look at the rust chart.... A win by 6-12pts...shows we are holding steady... might need another 1 or 2 games to get back to where we were A win by 5 or less...3 games more to be up to speed A win by 13+...we are back...good to go or maybe 1 more game to fine tune A loss....we are slipping ...may need 4 more games to get sharp. We are still hanging around an A-....still on track for a Dance bid. We will know more after this game grade wise. We won't have a trend line reestablished till after Sat. Meanwhile, LaS comes in as a C team....This is what an average team at the D1 level looks like. They have a weak offense on the inside...not much shooting or rebounding ...an OK defense....The exception is the 3 pt shot...they can shoot it and defend it. Let's see what we are dealing with. .............................SLU.................................LaS........................................................SLU...................................LaS .............................................OFF.....................................................................................................DEF............... WWN2D2W...This game is more about us than them....We need to make shots...50/38/73...we need to reb....grab 8 more rebs than them...and not make mistakes...11 TOs...They have a few guys that can shoot from the outside ...if we let them...Kenney...Spencer and Moore. We need to hold their top 3 shooters to a combined 21 pts. Bottom line...LaS is not as good as Dayton..BUT ...they are just good enough to beat us if we are off. If we take care of business , we win. I would like to see a double digit win for the Bills ...an indication that we are shaking off the rust...but the most important thing is to get a win. Just do it. The Wiz
Let's look at the original post above to see what happened...Bold= original post the rust chart....A loss....we are slipping ...may need 4 more games to get sharp....Covid damage was done and it will take time. the 3 pt shot...they can shoot it and defend it....They did and they did 9 players have averaged 18+min/gm ....8 did it this game....Spencer sat out. We need to make shots...50/38/73....We had a bad miss here....had we made the line we would have had 4 more 3s and 2 more 2s...16 more points...which means we would have won...by 9 grab 8 more rebs than them.... got 2 more We need to hold their top 3 shooters to a combined 21 pts. ...Big time fail....54 pts....remember, they have no player averaging double digit pts they are just good enough to beat us if we are off. ..They were and we were Going forward...Once we start making spreads , it will be an indication that the ship is starting to right it self. Until then , it is preseason.

Quality Is Job 1
The problem is that none of the seniors is performing at an all-conference level since the pause. Once they shake off the effects of the stoppage, then the Bills will be an NCAA Tournament team again. Hopefully they'll get back soon enough that they won't have to win the conference tournament to get there.

Time will tell I see where you're going, but I think Perkins and Goodwin are trying too hard, and forcing shots. French, I have no answer for. The Wiz
Here is an an excerpt, from an article by the Harvard Med School in conjunction with the CDC on Covid recovery. This offers a different view as to what may be going on with the team. Most people with mild cases appear to recover within one to two weeks. However, recent surveys conducted by the CDC found that recovery may take longer than previously thought, even for adults with milder cases who do not require hospitalization. The CDC survey found that one-third of these adults had not returned to normal health within two to three weeks of testing positive for COVID-19. Among younger adults (ages 18 to 34) who did not require hospitalization and who did not have any underlying health conditions, nearly one in five had not returned to normal health within two to three weeks after testing positive for COVID-19. With severe cases, recovery can take six weeks or more.
