OK ...Let's try this again....

First let's take a look at the rust chart....

A win by 6-12pts...shows we are holding steady... might need  another 1 or 2 games to get back to where we were

A win by 5 or less...3  games more  to be up to speed

A win by 13+...we are back...good to go or maybe 1 more game to fine tune

A loss....we are slipping ...may need 4 more games to get sharp.

We are still hanging around an A-....still on track for a Dance bid.  We will know more after this game grade wise.  We won't have a trend line reestablished till after Sat.   Meanwhile, LaS comes in as a C team....This is what an average  team at the D1 level looks like.  They have a weak offense on the inside...not much shooting or rebounding ...an OK defense....The exception is the 3 pt shot...they can shoot it and defend it.

LaS is a balanced team...No player has averaged in double figures  and 9 players have averaged 18+min/gm..7 of them guards.

WWN2D2W...This game is more about us than them....We need to make shots...50/38/73...we need to reb....grab 8 more rebs than them...and not make mistakes...11 TOs...They have a few guys that can shoot from the outside ...if we let them...Kenney...Spencer and Moore.  We need to hold their top 3 shooters to a combined 21 pts.

Bottom line...LaS is not as good as Dayton..BUT ...they are just good enough to beat us if we are off.  If we take care of business , we win.  I would like to see a double digit win for the Bills ...an indication that we are shaking off the rust...but the most important thing is to get a win.

Just do it.

Going forward...Once we start making spreads , it will be an indication that the ship is starting to right it self. Until then , it is preseason.

The problem is that none of the seniors is performing at an all-conference level since the pause.  Once they shake off the effects of the stoppage, then the Bills will be an NCAA Tournament team again.  Hopefully they'll get back soon enough that they won't have to win the conference tournament to get there.

I see where you're going, but I think Perkins and Goodwin are trying too hard, and forcing shots.  French, I have no answer for.
