GOSLU68
RM must not have a good record versus Baron I wonder if Billy Baron transfers to Dad's me school
Taj79
Majerus was 2 and 5 against Rhode Island and Baron over the last five eyars with two of those losses coming in A10 tournament play. Baron graduated from St. Bonaventure and coached at St. Francis (Pa.), St. Bonaventure and now Rhode Island. Seems quite the east coast guy but I;d tak eand use him just to get one Delroy James or Orion Outerbridge clone. Anybody see the Umass/URI game? I happened to be channel surfing and found the first half while up in PA over the weekend. URI was 8-for-21 from three point land and Umass was 14-for-30. In the first half alone, it was cross half court and hoist one. It was the most undisciplined display of team basketball -- on both sides -- I have ever seen. Terell Vinson shoul dnot be shooting threes --- and he launched four! Combined, the teams hoisted 139 total shots and went to the line a combined 44 times. Twenty-six turnovers and 38 personal fouls. I'll take Rick's style and pace over this crappy basketball any day.
Cowboy
-i agree taj, but there is a segment of bball fan that likes to watch that and in 15 years when Rick is done will advocate for this type of coach (see mike anderson) to replace him
