pooch1918
Off-court scandals, losses to teams with RPI's in the 300's, food poisoning, weird sicknesses and injuries to Majerus. It has to get better, right?

Pistol
Here's another ray of sunshine I haven't seen anyone else mention: Heading into A10 play, SLU is tied with St. Joe's for the worst overall record at 5-8. Of course, St. Joe's has a better RPI (134) than ours (158) because all 5 wins were D-I and count. The only other team with a losing record, LaSalle, has losses to Baylor, Mizzou, Oklahoma State, and Villanova, and none of them blowouts. I still don't understand how our SOS is 26, and if it weren't for that we'd be a lot worse than 158.
gobillsgo
It has to get better. Remember: "The night is always darkest before the dawn." The night has been pretty damn dark for a long time. Still waiting on the dawn. Hopefully it will come soon, but I'm not holding my breath.
White Pelican
After watching that butt-ugly loss to Bowling Green and as we're now about to face Dayton and the rest of the A-10, I'd say YES, things can definitely get more depressing. White Pelican
I'm afraid we're about to be the new Fordham. At least for this year. I knew things were gonna be tough what with The Situation. But I've been shocked at how poorly we have played and how the coaching staff can't seem to find any answers. While sitting through the BG game on New Year's Day I kept saying to myself "can we really be THIS bad?" I thought we'd win two and maybe all three at Cancun. I never expected to lose to the likes of Austin Peay and certainly not Bowling Green at home for Pete's sake. I expected to win at Portland. I thought we'd go 8-8 or 9-7 in league play. Now I hope we just don't embarrass ourselves.

Big Rob
Last year in the A-10 (11-5) This year (5-11) and Majerus loses 50lbs and becomes a super model.
dlarry
This season could get MUCH MUCH more depressing and it would have nothing to do with what happens on the court.
