Doman
What a comeback but what bull**** that was a charge and your scorekeeper at the arena must a smoked to much pot.
slufanskip
If you watched the game ... you really wouldn't want to argue fouls and calls would you? Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
jmolina
Not what I would call a "great game", in my opinion. But a very exciting finish. Any guesses here if round 2 will be at the Family Arena again or at the Purdue/ND winner's site. Under 6 grand for tonight's game I heard. Upper seats were completely empty. That whole three-point line thing was f--ked up. Pardon my French.
SLUWX
Both Purdue and ND have scheduling conflicts. It's ours.
RecCenterRat
that bullship scorekeeping .. was in our favor .. completely .. we won because the clocked ran down to zero when iowa scored .. instead of the clock stopping at five .. we looked in trouble .. and caught a break .. Iowa fans must be screaming ..
Lobo
And we had the home court advantage? Sure. Fouls... I guess hawkeyes get an extra step or two.

moytoy12
I'm a purported objective bills fan. I thought the logistics (shot clock, 3 point lines, etc.) were very poorly done. In terms of advantages, i watched the replay(s) like many of you, i thought the refs got the clock dead on. the charge...well, i would be griping if it happened the other way, but as soon as emotions subsided, i would agree that you let em play in the last minute. the previous 39 minutes, i really thought slu got the short end of the stick. jmolina
>I'm a purported objective bills fan. I thought the >logistics (shot clock, 3 point lines, etc.) were very poorly >done. I know the SLU folks had their hands tied with the Savvis unavailable. But I just don't like the Family Arena. I'm not sorry now that I never watched a Swarm game in person. McKendree College is a better atmosphere than that place. Heck, I'd rather go to the Panther Dome In O'Fallon, IL.

jmolina
>My information tells me the game is Saturday. Outstanding. May have to leave 2 - 2 1/2 hours before game time. But that's OK. Rush hour traffic won't be an issue.
jgcurtin
The clock keeper and the refs were both horrible, so it went both ways. You can't attribute the outcome to either as both teams suffered the effects screw-ups. Does anyone know if Savvis has a Blues game this weekend, cause if they do, I think we should see if one of the other venues in the STL area is available. BleacherBum593
Too bad they can't push back the game to Monday or Tuesday (3/20-21). The Savvis Center would be available then.
BillikenButch
I thought they tried to avoid conflicts with the NCAA tournament.

The Savvis on Monday OR Tuesday could work too. Blues aren't home until Mar. 25 What kind of pull do the alum have?
BleacherBum593
Looking at the NIT website, they show the 2nd round with 3 available dates - 3/20, 3/22, 3/23. Possibility that they could play at Savvis
Billikan
I know that you have, at times, been fairly friendly to our Bills but your comments are very aggravating. First, there were a number of people in the top row, most were centered on each side at the half court line. I would guess 500-1000. Second, the crowd was fantastic in our comeback run. So much for journalistic integrity!
gister
There were probably a couple 100 up in the upper deck, so the lower deck was close to a sellout. There were quite a few empty seats behind the band and student section and on the floor at the other end.
gister
The original statement from the athletic department said they had offered a first round game at the family arena and a second round on Saturday at the family arena. I don't know why that would change.
