TheDude
Strickland was on Bernie's show this afternoon and reported that Cotto beat F. John in a game of one-on-one for the right to wear #13 for the Billikens. Femi will reportedly wear #12. In a heated battle, Cotto beat Femi 13-11. I hesitate to mention this part, but they also gave Roy some good natured ribbing because Strickland was reporting on SLU and Cotto in his daily buzz. Strickland admitted, by the way, that he was happy for the 2 players for qualifying and being able to contribute for SLU this year. Roy - he wants to do lunch with you some time "to stop all of the hating."

Much better to "win" the right to wear the number, in a battle to "13", than to just get lucky with a coin flip.
BLIKNS
Who was the last number 13? I can`t think of anyone after a certain menace. Sounds like Cotto has the same type of range, hope so.

willie
Strickland also said that ticket sales were up 20%. Their marketing plans seem to be paying off. I give them an A for effort.

kevinfootes
Strickland also said that ticket sales were up 20%. Their marketing plans seem to be paying off. I give them an A for effort. That's great news...assuming of course strickland is correct. If that's true, it's hard to be critical of a 20% increase before the first tip off. Even with a new building. Especially when you consider this is following a mediocre season.
