Four Seventeen
That is awful. I was at Wrigley in 2002 when Joe announced that DK was found dead and I don't think there was a dry eye in the entire building. It is another sad day for baseball. kshoe
It is truly tragic. A brutal day for the Cardinal family. Maybe I'm just an ###### but its weird to me that most of the speculation I've heard on KFNS this afternoon is focused on why was the tow-truck there and where were the police and why highway 40 is such a bad highway, etc. Maybe people just don't want to speculate on it but my immediate thought was alcohol. They had a game that ended at 6 and a night game the next day. In all likelihood there was a dinner downtown followed by going out to a bar. Its 12:30AM and a single 30-year old baseball player is driving home, I'd be pretty shocked if he hadn't had a few to drink. Add in that he was apparently not aware enough to see the lights on a tow-truck straight ahead of him. I'm not trying to bad-mouth JH at all, but I'm just shocked that all the speculation on 590 has centered around all the possibilities except for the most obvious one. RUBillsFan
I wondered if alcohol might be involved as well. Not to disrespect Josh at all, but its just what popped into my head while reading about it. That said it is a tragic event and best not to speculate at all until the facts come out.
