It was actually a very hard non-conference. Coach Tillett has scheduled as tough of a non-conference as she can both her years here. Still, this is a shock to me. I;ll take it though.

A10 only got 2 because Dayton stumbled in the tourney. If Dayton won the A10 tourney, it would have been a one bid league. If Duq was the team that shoved ISU out, as potentially pointed out by @The Wiz’s computer, then could Dayton winning the A10 tournament have gotten ISU in? The real truth for both leagues is that Dayton was the only team in both leagues good enough to lose their conference tournament and still make it in. That was the margin of difference between the MVC and the A10. Not a very large difference.

Exactly, recruiting doesn’t mean much if you can’t develop a player. This is not the only example, and has to be a major reason why Travis Ford is no longer our coach.

They are still giving Kevin Slaten a show, so standards for hosting a radio show are obviously non-existent. Listened to the segment, the hosts argument was basically his opinion was right, and everyone else’s was wrong. Hard to argue with that. @Pistol gets my admiration for keeping his cool and not laughing at that idiot.

TV wanted the preliminary games earlier in the week to fill in for regular season games that aren’t happening as teams rest, and wanted the championship on Sunday. All hail the undenied ruler of everyone’s schedule, TV.

Dayton blew it, Dukes advance, hopefully Dayton still gets an at large bid, but might find themselves sweating it out on Sunday.

That’s an excellent point. Also, based on this year’s performance, who gets paid more? I’d love to see some data on what percentage of players that enter the portal get nothing next year, it’s probably much higher than many people realize.
