Smith wasn't on staff at Longwood. She was a fifth-year grad student (2 years JUCO, 3 years Longwood). Surprised she's going straight to an AC position, but hey, I guess Tillett has confidence in Smith's potential.

I only took a brief Google glance and saw Longwood and she was young, thanks for the other info, Pistol. Also related, Ny Toang just entered the transfer portal.

Welcome back, your dreams were your ticket out
Welcome back, to that same old place that you laughed about

Well the names have all changed since you hung around
But those dreams have remained and they've turned around

Who'd have thought they'd lead ya
(Who'd have thought they'd lead ya)
Back here where we need ya
(Back here where we need ya)

Yeah we tease him a lot 'cause we got him on the spot, welcome back
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back

Slu72, I hate to tell you this but the fleur de lis, which used to be a main item of the French flag under the ancien regime, is what is called in La Marsellaise "l'etendard sanglant," the bloody flag. I know this is 200+ year old news but the fleur de lis may not have a markedly positive impact upon a French recruit

Heavens, we're descending into 18th century French politics on a basketball board 😂

I would agree with you until I saw what wgstl said.

That tells me they are not happy.

I didn't want to say anything, because it's pure conjecture, but I heard toward the end of the season the Perkins did not like playing with Yuri.

  5.  I could see this creating some issues, lol. Reformation 2.0 started because of basketball 😂

What we need to do is to get the St. Louis Diocese to start an NIL fund, and then pass our money that way. The Diocese could actually use the players NIL in fundraising, at charity events, and in community service projects. Just need 1% of that holy rolled cheddar! :) jk.

I advise everyone to stop the hate talk. While I understand the unsettling nature of this whole situation, this saga is not over yet. The last thing a player who’s on the fence wants to see is a fan base that is so quick to disown them.

This is a great post. I'm not angry at Yuri, I'm angry at the changing system.

The Majerus years were the pinnacle of what I'll ever watch at SLU. That was the best time. From the 19 points at GW to the final presser with the players and coaches weeping to watching them bring home A10 championships and even Jett talking smack on twitter about SVU.

Players that play for the team and even stick around(think Highmark, Claggett, Jett, etc.) are not going to be that common going forward. The game just is not the same as it used to be, and normally when I hear that said I say "baloney" here I think that's true, because the money has changed. The money is what matters.

This is what upsets me the most, I think. I've been coming to Bills games since I was 5 and my dad has done stats for them since 1985 and he grew up watching with his dad. The Highmarks, Claggets, Jetts, and Bonners seem like a bygone era, but this has only happened in the past year. It just feels odd and sad.
